I first want to say that we got the best rate by calling the hotel directly. Next, the staff went above and beyond exceptional standards. Yes, I paid more than if I had stayed 25 miles away , but this is Historic Smithfield VA, on the water and two blocks from everything! Memories made! My granddaughter had a wonderful day. We had several excellent meals and made in our short stay made some wonderful friends. We are definitely staying at Smithfield Station again for our next visit...read full review
I was there on business for a few weeks, the staff at the hotel was very accommodating ensuring that I had everything I needed, The food in the restaurant was top notch everything cooked to perfection. The bartenders are fantastic - they'd see me, prepare my beverage of choise and all I had to do is smile. Great location to visit the downtown area. Smithfield Station is a place I'll definitely go back to and highly recommend.
Our room in the old station building had a wonderful huge balcony giving onto the water, so the best part of our stay was enjoying the view! That said, the room was comfortable, the staff were really friendly and helpful and we enjoyed a delicious seafood dinner in the restaurant.
