Must try seafood restaurant. Consistently good food and cocktails. Fresh, local seafood that is well seasoned. Competitive pricing. Laid back marina with upscale tastings. 360 views and little gift shops surrounding the restaurant to walk off them calories ?. --- I have not stayed at the hotel, but if it's anything like the rest of the property, you will feel right at home with a friendly staff and a calming atmosphere. I 10/10 recommend Smithfield Station Restaurant and Accommodations.

The people are great, but the soup I ordered came out cold like it came right out of the refrigerator...burnt pizza, and the chicken pasta was undercooked and the chicken was tough. Really great atmosphere but there needs to be a change in chef...

We ordered the boom boom shrimp. They were overcooked and had very little sauce on them. My wife ordered calabash shrimp, and I ordered the fried seafood platter. It took over an hour for us to get our food.

Beautiful location and overall nice restaurant. It sits on the water and is attached to an inn. There is a parking lot right there and additional parking across the street. Once we were seated, our service was a little slow. It got better but still wasn't great. The restaurant is spacious and I can imagine it being a great experience with warm weather, sitting outside on the water. There is also a bar area with a few televisions. We started with the hush puppies as the appetizer and they were good! I had a Pain Killer on the rocks and it was strong! Very generous with the alcohol. I had the seafood quesadilla and my husband had the Royal Crowned Shrimp. My quesadilla was good but kinda lacked flavor. The Royal Crowned Shrimp is VERY heavily breaded. Like ALOT! My husband actually took all of the breading off. Will we go back, YEP! The menu is pretty extensive so there were definitely some other items I would like to try. There is a heavy seafood focus but there is also something for everyone.

This place is 5 star all the way. I ordered the Hawaiian Ribeye and the Shrimp Hush Puppies. The Hush Puppies came out first. They had a delicious blend of batter, pieces of shrimp and a kick of jalapeno, which was a tasty surprise. I ordered the Hawaiian Ribey medium. It was cooked to perfection! And the grilled chucks of Pineapple on top just added to the juicy flavor. The side of Pasta Salad was on point. For dessert, I had the bread pudding. It came out hot, and I asked for a serving of vanilla ice-cream to top it. The sauce is delicious, which I believe was a whiskey walnut type that only enhanced the numerous raisins that were throughout the bread. Also, I would be doing a disservice if I didn't mention the home brewed sweet tea. The glasses were small, but my server was always there to fill it. I highly recommend this on the pier spot for any occasion.

It was a warm day and we were able to sit on the patio. A nice view and our waitress was efficient and very friendly making the experience much better. The food was good and tasty and served hot. We would return and would recommend this to others. We have been there several times before and have always had good experiences.

My wife and I had been regular customers of Smithfield Station since 1989, and it was a great place to dine. The location on the water with its own marina was a perfect setting for those special dinners. Unfortunately, over the years it seems to have rested on its justifiably high previous reputation and allowed its luster to tarnish, in my opinion. The food quality has fallen inversely to the rise in prices. Service is still good and the staff are as friendly and helpful as always, but I feel there are better places to eat in town following the opening of a number of new restaurants. We stopped eating at The Station on any kind of regular basis about three or four years ago, but would stop in occasionally just to see if things had improved. We last ate lunch there a couple of months back and what I had was so uninspiring I can't even remember what it was. It still does a banging business so I may be in the minority in my review; but, until the quality of the food matches the prices, I'm sticking with my opinion.

My first time here, I ordered the calabash flounder and it came with two hush puppies, coleslaw and you can pick potatoes or vegetables. Everything was really good, the fish was lightly battered and cooked perfectly. The hushpuppies were crispy on the outside and soft in the middle. The coleslaw was really good as well, and our waitress was friendly and attentive, I would come here again.
