My wife and I were finished with our Sunday errands and looming for a place to have lunch. We decided to drive 20 minutes out of our way to a place called Peanut's Steak and Seafood in Spotsylvania Courthouse. From the outside it's a very unassuming place. However when we walked in, we were greeted by a very friendly server. We sat at one of the relatively few tables they had. I think Peanut's might be more of a carry out place. They obviously specialized in crabs. On the wall was the Super Bowl specials, which included crabs, crawfish, frogs legs, alligator nuggets. They also had beer in the cold case to go, along with sodas.Anyway, we sat and ordered drinks. My wife wanted unsweetened ice tea, however they only had sweet tea. She had that, and reported that it wasn't overly sweet so it was fine. I had a Dr. Pepper, which came bottled. We ordered onion rings as an appetizer. They were very good, nicely breaded and hot.My wife ordered two soft shell crabs, one made into a sandwich. She loves soft shell crabs, and said that these were quite good sized and very good. I had a Ribeye Steak Sandwich, medium, with baked beans. The steak was decent, and it may have been medium rare instead of medium. However to me over-cooking is the greater sin so it was fine.We enjoyed Peanut's, and if we're in the area again, we would certainly come back.

We were looking for seafood tonight and this place got 4 stars so, why not? Pulled in, talk about your hole in the wall, wow. My wife had local crabs, I had an oyster po boy. Food was very good, fresh and the folks running the place were, well, country is my opinion - I like country. Don't judge a book by its cover, stop in prices were reasonable - we will definitely be back!

Paid $205 for half a bushel of "North Carolina" # 1's... pre-ordered day before and was told they would be $180..Crabs were terrible!!!... also didn't help lady at front was RUDE... plenty of other options now a days to get your Crabs etc . Spend your money somewhere

Great seafood and steaks the don't skimp on the portions an is all top of the line meat and homemade sides definitely worth going I want to go soon again all ready the owner Peanut is usually there say hi he's a great guy.

We found Peanuts to be every bit as good and only a tad bit more expensive. But the service, it was exemplary!! The woman who took my order said they weren't usually open on Memorial Day but, due to all the calls the owner was considering a limited schedule. She confirmed, took my order and we picked them up today. The crabs were delicious!! Not one was overcooked. They were perfect. Thank you Peanuts Team for helping us continue a tradition our family has carried on for decades. Thanks for demonstrating world class service.Parking: Plenty of parking.

The food was good the service not so much. Waited for over 30 min.s to get our food after we ordered and saw people place take out orders get their in 10. The employees kids were running around the employees were sitting eating, at one point the door was opened and made it freezing. It was just a lot, might have just been the day but I myself would order to go you get your food MUCH faster.
