Food was really good. Price was reasonable. Service was good and very quick. Would go here again. Parking was difficult

Worst dumpling experience I've ever had. These are disgusting. Do yourself and your family a favor and skip this one. I'm so bummed that I ordered from this place tonight. Never again. Plus... what is up with the weird coloring on the dumplings. No thanks.

I only eat halal meat so I was glad with the various veggie options available. The staff was quite rude though and not super accommodating. The dumplings were nice and fresh but I don't see this traveling well- they'd be hard and cold so if you want to try these out, I'd recommend eating here!

I'd heard so much about this dumpling shop in the Mosaic District. We had just checked into our hotel around the corner and needed a quick bite to eat before a big dinner. The restaurant had a call ahead feature. We ordered three types of dumplings. When we got to the restaurant to pick up the food we noticed they had some outside tables so we opted to eat or dumplings outside. I started with the pork and shrimp dumpling because it was listed as their take on the classic. I guess I'm used to dumplings at my favorite dim sum restaurant. This was not them. There was evidence of lots chives and ginger. The tangy, salty and pungent tasted exactly as described. They were not my favorite. The pork shumai was next on my list. The rice filling threw me for a loop. I could not finish this dish, it was definitely too trendy for my taste. Hubby ordered the basil chicken dumplings. He really enjoyed the flavors. They don't really provide any dipping sauces except soy sauce. I did go in and ask for some hot sauce. It helped.

Normally, I don't write reviews but I'm tremendously disappointed to the point where I have to write one. My boyfriend and I were looking forward to trying this place But we were quickly disappointed as soon as we walked in. Service is not the best or welcoming. For a restaurant that specializes in dumplings, it was not that great. Presentation is not ideal, you get the food in to-go boxes even if you dine in and because of that the dumplings quickly get cold and stick together. The dye that helps identify the type of dumpling was very unappealing and unappetizing. The soup dumplings did not have any soup. Overall, this was a very disappointing experience from beginning to end.

I ordered the shrimp dumplings and soup dumplings and their special Peking duck dumpling. The portions are so big, definitely worth it for the price and the dipping sauce was amazing. Some places make it too sour but the sauce here was just the perfect balance. If you're craving some dumplings and in the Mosaic district definitely stop by here.

Ordered at 8:20 on a Sunday. Wanted some steamed dumplings. Steamer is broken. Ok, I'll order some pan-fried then. It's not my preference, but it'll do. 8:35, food's ready. It's packed to go. Their sign says that they're open until 9 (Yelp says 10, so FYI), so I ask if we can dine in. Nope, they're closed, the cashier says. She had just flipped the sign early for some reason. I make sure we at least have everything in the bag such as chili sauce, vinegar, etc. Nope, they only have soy sauce. I've never heard of a dumpling place not offering chili sauce nor vinegar. We find a public table to sit and eat in the dark. The first bite of the beef curry dumplings is alright. The filling tastes good, but the skin is hard and not in a good way. The pork and celery filling was meh, and the skins had the same issue. Maybe they just aren't very skillful at pan frying and would have been better steamed. At this point it's time to return to my car. It starts pouring. Turns out the extra distance to find that public table was the difference between me getting drenched and staying dry.

The service was terrible. Their sign on the door said closes at 9pm, but they kicked us out at 8:40pm. We had to find an outdoor table to finish our food. They didn't have vinegar and chili oil, that's like no Parmasan and black pepper in an Italian restaurant. Dumplings flavor were mediocre.

Tried a few varieties of dumplings (pork and shrimp, pork and cabbage, and beef curry) and soup dumplings - all pretty mediocre. Service was lacking also. Might be ok for an easy fix but pretty much any fresh dumpling or frozen pack out of H-Mart or Great Wall across the street would beat these.

Satisfying fast food dumplings. If you're veggie, get the Buddha's choice -- they were by far the best; I found the edamame dumplings a little strange and too heavy. Their COVID procedures felt very safe, everyone was masked and it was very clean. Friendly staff and quick service.

I ordered the Pork & Shrimp. It was my first home buying dumplings and it was amazing! Worth every penny!

District dumplings is honestly my favorite dumpling place in the DMV. I like that you can mix and match so you aren't getting 10 of the same dumpling. They are all honestly quite good especially the meat ones. They have moved back to dine in so you have that option again and it is still social distancing inside. Staff is always friendly. It's usually 2/3 people working at any given time so not a whole lot. You can get the dumplings steam or fried. Fried is best to me and yes that's pretty much it.

District Dumplings is a solid dumpling place that's worth a visit!! We ordered pickup and they traveled surprisingly well. Definitely try the beef bulgogi, soup dumplings and Peking duck. I wasn't a huge fan of the chicken schiumai or edamame but the rest were solid. I wish the dumplings came in smaller portions because we weren't able to finish our order. I chatted with the owner in the quiet, empty restaurant tonight and she said no one has come to eat since COVID. I hope you'll all get out there a support them!

Unfortunately my meal from here last night has left me up all night with liquid coming from both ends. We ordered the bulgogi, lemongrass chicken and green goddess dumplings along with a pecking duck and a seafood special dumpling. The service is really weird, not welcoming to the slightest. Initially while eating, I just wasn't a huge fan of the dumplings - the pecking duck was the best one. The bulgogi was surprisingly really tough and the lemongrass chicken just didnt balance very well. Then, in the middle of the night I woke up violently ill and while I'm writing this im still completely nauseous. Overall, even if i didnt get sick, I wouldn't be back. You're better off getting dumplings from a normal Chinese restaurant
