I have lived for 28 years on this planet and have had onion rings from an incalculable number of restaurants. I say with complete confidence that Milano's has the perfect onion rings and I can not even imagine any way to improve them. They are big, bready, and crispy with healthy sized onions, just like you would expect from an American grill style restaurant (obviously they aren't an American restaurant, but they do American food very well). But the onion is cooked to perfection and will bite cleanly instead of sliding out and falling apart the first time you rip into it. The outer breading is perfectly fried, but not too oily and maintains its structure. The ability for a kitchen to take a mundane food purchasable anywhere and execute it perfectly is a great sign of a highly skilled staff in my opinion. I live next-door to this place and eat there very regularly. Everything else on the menu is top-notch as well, the whole menu feels very family-recipe style. This is always my go-to spot when I'm feeling sick, it is fantastic comfort food. Their pizza is definitely the best in the neighborhood, although there are a few other joints in Springfield that give them a run for their money.

Went on St Patrick's Day. The corned beef & cabbage meal was very good. Judy's Irish soda bread was excellent as always.

Reviewing the only thing I have ever ordered here in more than 30 years of eating here. As a kid, I ordered the pork souvlaki wrap. I have been searching my entire adult life and none has ever even come close to this magical taste. I had not had one in years, and with one bite I was in 7th grade again. Now I crave it every day. Souvlaki the restaurant in DuPont DC is the closest I have found, same pita and almost the same marinade on the pork, but the tender abundant pork at Milanos is pure perfection. Also Milanos doesn't muck it up with French fries. Potato chips on the side is the perfect crunchy accompaniment. It is worth the trek to Springfield.

First time ordering from this restaurant through door dash since I just started working at a new office. I was little disappointened that I asked for extra lettuce for me steak and cheese and ketchup for my fires and they totally disregarded my request. My office also did not have ketchup in the break room so I didn't get to enjoy my lunch they way that I was hoping too. I may try them again. I always believe in second chances.

This is always a favorite for us to go to. You definitely feel like you're at home and treated like family. The decor with the paintings of Greece are pretty. There are booth seats and tables towards the front, with a private area in the back for parties. Service is excellent too, very attentive and customer friendly. We usually get the chicken parm from there but this time we got the penne pasta with rose sauce and it was fantastic. We asked how the sauce is made and they mentioned it's a mixture of alfredo and tomato sauce. The portions are gigantic for the price. We also got a Greek salad to start with, and coffee with baklava for dessert at the end.

Milano's is a local gem! Food is always good. I often get the fettuccine Milano (alfredo, chicken, mushrooms). Greek salad with house made dressing is standard unless you opt for Caesar or garden. Mozzarella sticks with homemade red sauce. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. Basket of bread for table. Kids liked the chicken tenders. Gyros are a popular choice with my family. Just a nice, local restaurant.Kid-friendliness: Several kid options (chicken tenders, pasta, grilled cheese, and more), with flexibility, like buttered noodles vs red sauce. Gave smaller kids cups with lids. Family restaurant so no problem having kids.

Biggest failing is their Greek salad. Just look up in Wikipedia and you will understand what they served was not Greek. The gyros platter is supposed to be served with tomato, onion with it. None of that was there. For $20 not worth the price. Even their one potato cut in half, boiled and covered with oil was horrible. Supposedly lemon covered also to hide the taste. The tzatziki sauce was a joke.

Ever since Springfield Pizzeria closed its doors a few years ago, I've been keeping an eye out for other old neighborhood places that might be able to fill the void. Malek's in Springfield Plaza is a good one. So is Delias in Backlick Square. I had never been to Milano's before, so I decided to give it a shot. The Souvlaki Platter has a good marinade here and the 10" Pizza is worth coming back for. Overall I thought the food was really good.

Food is pretty good. Not a fancy restaurant. Had to ask for water refill at first but they got better about it. Food took quite a while - it was not that terribly busy. No one ordered anything time consuming so not sure why our food took so long.
