“It is rare for a vegetarian restaurant to endure the time and I hope this restaurant can do it. Since my mother discovered it, she has already been back multiple times. That alone speaks volumes. Others should try and decide for themselves.“
“We live nearby, and this was our first time visiting Spice Kraft. This will DEFINITELY be added to our roster of regular stops. The food was delicious, the portions were large, and the service was great. AND they have happy hour on the weekends! The only ‘complaint’ I have is that I asked for one of the dishes to be extra spicy, and it simply wasn’t. They brought me more hot sauce, and that didn’t get to the level I’m used to either. This is absolutely a ‘me’ thing as I like my food intolerably spicy, and I will know for next time to specify that I want it “extra spicy as if I were in India” to get the right spice level!Dietary restrictions: We are both vegan, and one of us is gluten free as well, and there were plenty of options to choose from! Love that this place is so close!“
“Best vegan restaurant in Washington DC. I like spending my outing time there. It’s an amazing place the staff are nice and welcoming. I prefer eating mom’s tofu & brown rice with a mango smoothie when I go there. Please try that I am sure you will love it.“
“We went to the Art-O-Matic and were coming out of DC, and decided to have pizza. I’d never heard of &Pizza, but I loved it! They have vegan toppings, it was so good, and to be able pick what’s on your pizza was great. The staff was really nice, this is definitely my “go to” when I want pizza!Vegetarian options: They have vegan cheese, sausage, and chicken, plus various sauces and vegetables, which you get to pick!“
“Some of the most delicious food in DC. As a vegan they had so many incredible options that you can’t always find at regular Indian restaurants. The dosa with potato filling and idly were incredible and the server was so quick to provide her recommendation for her favorite vegan curry. My friend was gluten free too and we had so many options to enjoy - it was a feast! All vegans in the area need to run over here right away! Veganesha is the bestVegetarian options: Vegan, vegetarian, and gluten free options available“
“Stayed at a hotel nearby and found the Hive Bar as we walked the neighborhood. We were looking for something fast and tasty and the pizza did not disappoint!! They were trying out a new menu (for the Super Bowl) so we snacked on popcorn chicken and tatters as well. Tatters are a favorite!!“The” Old Fashioned cocktail was amazing!! Our bartender was an expert and made this delicious drink delicious every time! The bar is accessible, with a bar and tables on the first floor, and an elevator to the rooftop bar. The pizza/food is delivered from &Pizza which is attached to the hotel.Street parking was easy on the weekend.“
“First off- the service here is great! The Monday evening manager was one of the friendliest people I've met at a pizza joint and he was very accommodating! I love that they have vegan and veggie options. My kids didn't come with me this evening, but when they do come, the staff has always been so friendly and open to listening to their crazy pizza toppings ideas! Kiddos to the staff who work here!“
“The food tastes very good. I was surprised there weren't more people dining in here, but whatever. it made service very quick. Falafel tastes really good, and I really like how they package up their sandwiches. I do wish the pita was warmed (it seemed cold), but everything else was great. The fries have a unique spice on them which gave it a flavor I never had (in a good way).“
“I had the mean Green smoothie and the impossible burger, with a guava cheese pastry. Everything was amazing, you can taste how fresh everything is. And the guava pastry was delicious! I am super glad I found this place, I don't have to travel far now for quality smoothie ? will be returning “
“I don’t go very often (it costs a pretty penny) but I never have a problem when I order there. I usually would get just the shakes, which are soy-free, and aren’t heavy on the coconut milk like a lot of vegan products are, and I believe it’s free of canola oil based off the allergen list, but not sure. (Tried finding what’s used and only concluded potato protein is used.) I also like the Meati chicken sandwiches; they’re pretty good. Definitely not the same flavor as meat, but flavored well enough and does deliver protein (mycoprotein) and less ingredients than the beyond burger base (and a nice alternative for those who have issues with pea protein like me). Also the green bean fries were phenomenal, though I didn’t taste the horseradish much in the horseradish sauce. But yeah overall, I’ve been consistently pleased.“
“I went in to order food to go and it was so fast, maybe 10 mins tops before I got my food and was headed on my way. A few other reviews said the people working here have limited English, but the woman who took my order had no problem chatting with me while I waited - she was super nice and welcoming! The menu has an English side and a Vietnamese side that match up, so you can just show them the number of what you want if you ever run into anyone with limited English. I'm not familiar with many Vietnamese dishes, so I'm excited to come back and keep trying more since the tofu dish I got was SO good!Dietary restrictions: The whole menu is vegan“
“It's been so exciting to see an entirely plant-based concept be so successful and expanding so rapidly and now that I have visited I absolutely see why. This was one of the best meals I've had in a while. My friend and I had been dying to try their plant-based sushi and not only did it blow us away but the other dishes we tried were equally as incredible. Here's what we got for two people. We were quite full and took some leftovers: - ahi watermelon nigiri (2 pieces) x 2: If you didnt know this was made of watermelon you could absolutely mistake it for the real thing. The texture is mind blowing and the flavor is on point. Amazing way to start the meal (and end it because we ended up ordering another round to finish our meal) - unagi eggplant nigiri (2 pieces) x 2: So delicious. Definitely must order. The eggplant is super tender, just like eel. - spicy tuna roll: we ordered the hand roll but I think the server misheard so we ended up with the maki but it wasn't a big deal and i wasn't upset to get to try their take on maki rolls. I think their rice could use some work but this was still tasty! - Dan Dan noodles: incredible. Our server advised us to get the Dan Dan noodles over the Singapore noodles entirely because of the saucy-ness of this dish and he did not steer us wrong. These noodles are drowning in sauce (in the best way) Even though it's a peanut sauce it was perfectly balanced and creamy. The noodles themselves had a great chew and the use of kamut (a grain) in the dish as a substitute for the traditional ground pork was inspired. - bang bang broccoli: broccoli has never tasted this good. I mean it, not only is the broccoli is shockingly crispy while being perfectly cooked through the center, but the broccoli itself tasted so creamy and delicious unlike any broccoli I have had before. And the bang bang sauce is bangin too. All this being said, if you are trying to be choosy and try the most unique dishes, I would probably skip this dish in favor of more sushi. Overall, this was an incredible, unique, and innovative meal and I can't wait to go back to try more of the menu. This is how vegetables could and should taste, if only we put as much love into them as we do with meat. At least the chefs at Planta are listening.“
“This place is a community. Come in the morning and observe local Ethiopians getting together for coffee and meals. What a place!Staff is friendly. Barista serve flavorful coffee using Ethiopian beans and in high volume. When they offer to coat it bombolino in sugar, take it. Prices are affordable as well!Next visit I'll have to try their food. Only had enough time for coffee and sweets today.“
“WOW!! AMAZING! All I had was the vegan gluten free cheese bread and a small gluten free vegan bbq veggie pizza w vegan chicken and ham and I mean I couldve ate both entire dishes to myself with no feeling of guilt. It's hard to find good quality food, for a good price that has vegan and gluten free options. This will be my new favorite spot. I am so happy and the owner was very nice, welcoming and made sure we were accommodated. Well done!!“
“Having plant based burgers, fries and shakes at your disposal, especially if you're craving it, is so rare. I love knowing that I can come to this joint and satisfy my craving with their plant based burgers, and so many different versions of it! I haven't tried everything but have enjoyed their "beef" burgers with the toppings of your choice (and they have a ton of them) cheese my favorite. I appreciate the the "chicken" they use by meati, and I do like their carne asadas, BUT the "Impossible" chicken is more my type as a Chicken burger. It's so savory and juicy with the perfect crust when cooked right. (I use an air fryer mostly) As a former meat eater, I really enjoyed the chicken sandwiches from burger king and McDonald's sweet baby back ribs sandwiches when in season. The closest I could find to those ribs were from morningstar but they discontinued them a while ago, unfortunately. I really miss it.Yummy, delicious and thick shakes!Crispy, fried potatoes wedges with creamy yummy dipping sauces, all assortments!Vegetarian options: It's ALL vegan.Dietary restrictions: When you know it's a vegan establishment, there aren't many questions to ask (imo)Kid-friendliness: They have kids meals available!“
“I'm a huge fan. You can get a huge, generous portion of healthy food here. First you choose a base: I got rice and quinoa. Then 5 toppings. I got steamed kale and spinach, olives, and chunks of sweet potato. Then a dressing--I chose the tahini one. It was totally delicious, healthy, and enough food for two meals.“
“Great customer service, great location, and even better pizzas! We visited for Pi Day and enjoyed the American Honey and a customized pizza. I highly recommend the American Honey!! The location is about a 10-min walk to the Kennedy Center. Stop by before a show!“
“We just came here for Valentine's Day for the first time tonight. The food was magnificent! We loved the Age Tofu as our appetizer. The orange sauce tasted really fresh that came with the tempura eggplant and veggies. The Hong Kong tofu was so yummy and the veggies were fresh. The Singapore street noodles were a great entree to split with our other two entrees. Very tasty spices used, and all of the dishes seemed flavors and ingredients seemed intentional and not simply thrown together. Recommend this place for anyone who loves cruelty-free, fresh food. We look forward to our next visit!Vegetarian options: Tons of amazing vegetarian and vegan options“
“Absolutely! "I recently tried the halal pepperoni pizza at my own pizza , and it was an absolute delight. The savory and spicy flavor of the halal pepperoni added a unique twist to the classic pizza experience. The crust was perfectly crispy, and the generous amount of cheese complemented the halal pepperoni beautifully. It's a delicious option for those who prefer halal meat without compromising on taste. I highly recommend this pizza for anyone looking to savor a flavorful and satisfying slice!"“
“The food is FANTASTIC! The service is top notch. I probably meet friends at this location once per month. No matter what time we arrive, the tables need wiping down, the trash is so full that it is falling out of the bins onto the floor, and the music is way TOO loud.If the pie was not so good, we would pass. Please guys, get it together. We love your pizza AND it is a convenient location for an after work nosh.“
“I always rely on True Food for its delicious yet healthy food options. We just had lunch there and loved the ambiance - the combination of wood tones and greenery created a relaxing and comfortable feel. The staff member who greeted us was welcoming and friendly, and our server provided attentive and speedy service. Our food arrived within minutes of placing our order. The food was exceptional, especially the edamame dumplings appetizer. They were perfectly seasoned with soy sauce, dashi, white truffle oil, and herbs. The True Blue Grass-Fed Burger was also a great choice. The Peruvian pepper sauce added a pleasant kick to the burger, while the caramelized onions provided a sweet contrast to the blue cheese. The Korean Noodle Bowl was similar to Japchae, made with sweet potato noodles and veggies. However, it had a subtle citrusy flavor with garlic. Our drinks, Kale Aid with Greek yogurt and Bright Eyes, were both healthy and delicious. Their vibrant colors made them a feast for the eyes.I'm looking forward to revisiting True Food soon to try some of their other tasty and healthy options.“
“Quick little casual pizza spot offering flatbread style pizzas for a pretty decent price. Plenty of options when it comes to toppings and the service was quick when I went.Parking: Parking is odd because most of the lot is reserved for Gold's gym“
“Restaurant space itself is a little cramped, but there is ample seating outside and inside of the mall. Pizza can be ordered off of the menu or completely customized, giving everything a chance to get what they want. They also offer gluten-free crusts.“
