Surprisingly good seafood for a mountain town. Food tasted fresh and some good custom cocktails. The fish and chips was certainly impressive!

We ate here by accident, because another restaurant was closed. What great fortune!! This place had great food, good ambiance and excellent conversation. We had come to this part of Virginia to see Polyface Farms, and this restaurant even has Polyface Farms chicken pot pie. We were very satisfied with our visit.

Delicious well prepared food with outstanding service. Fried haddock was perfectly prepared, catfish was spicy but delicious, and my daughter devoured the lobster Mac n cheese. Would recommend to anyone with seafood itch when visiting this charming downtown. And, they do outdoor streets closed dining on weekends. Might be back to visit just to experience that!

My husband and I love coming here. The food is always delicious and the servers are great. We had doubts that seafood would be good so far from the coast, but it's the best around!

Love it, I'll be back. They at able to accommodate gluten free, dairy free and soy free requests. I went simple, burger and fries. I'm not sensitive to dairy and soy cross contamination in a fryer, but I am sensitive to gluten fryer cross contamination. The staff were very friendly.

Blu Point is still relatively new, by Staunton standards, but it's continued to grow on me over the past few years. The draw is versatility - you can come here for a celebratory seafood feast for a graduation or to watch a game with a couple drinks and the (second*) best smash burger in town at the bar.The food is very good. There's a rotating raw bar menu that is absolutely worth the price if you're into oysters et al., and the specials are universally tasty. They also happen to have really good fries. The beer, wine, and liquor selection is very good, and the house cocktails are tasty without being gimmicky. The bar staff are great at their jobs. The atmosphere is casual but upscale. There's attention to detail in the materials of the furniture (looking at you, netted stools), the wall art, and the dishware, but it maintains a nonchalance that makes a t shirt and jeans or a suit feel comparably acceptable. It's with your time, especially if you feel like spending a couple extra bucks.*Their smash burger would be the best in town if not for a competitor that specializes specifically in smash burgers
Now my pick for the best Seafood restaurant in the Valley.

Took my family there Sunday around 2pm and was surprised not to see any type of lunch menu ( wasn't really prepared to spend $100 on lunch )Service was good , but waited for our server to ask " how was everything?" But it never happened because I ordered the shrimp and grits $35 and it was cold , tasted good , but cold. My wife had seafood platter and she really enjoyed hers .
I have been here quite a few times with my family over the years. Last night my partner and I ate here and while the our waitress was incredibly kind, and the atmosphere was fine, our dining experience was less than pleasant. My partner ended up getting food poisoning that hit later in the evening.

The Fish n Chips appeared excessively oily and salty, while the tartar sauce resembled mayonnaise. Consequently, I requested a replacement and opted for a steak instead. Although the steak was robustly seasoned, it was slightly tough. Regrettably, the potatoes were served cold, and the sautéed mushrooms seemed overcooked, lacking in mushrooms and sautéed onions. It appears that the chef may have had an off day. Despite these shortcomings, I believe this establishment shows promise; however, I am uncertain about revisiting. On a positive note, the service provided by the waitress was exceptional.
