Sus, while pleasant at our first meeting, was terrible to us as we got closer to the event--ignoring previous contract agreements, and refusing to even open attachments showing evidence of those agreements that she wanted to charge is more for. On the wedding day, while the food was good, we had many complaints about Sus's attitude, and their service was not very good. The bar was a mess, they refused to serve people, etc. But honestly, I place this blame on Sus--I certainly wouldn't want to work for her seeing her attitude. Showing rudeness by the owner, for which we were conveyed of such by our guests during an event is unacceptable (she ripped a drink away from the bride's sister for no reason, even though we provided the alcohol and liquor license. She was observably rude to her staff in front of guests). Also, just getting a contract right was a terrible experience. Sus was not a good listener and seemed to never write things down. It was so unorganized that we would have way too many meetings going over the exact same things, getting contracts that didn't reflect our discussions, having to rehash again to get things right...then again, only to have agreements reneged 2-weeks before the event, where she was threatening that we should just go with someone else if we didn't agree to her late price adds that went against the contract. Oh, and by contract she was supposed to leave the food after the event--didn't happen. Again, the food is the only highlight here. Not recommended.

Sus and team did an amazing job for our wedding of about 75 guests. We did something different, everything was like mini/items/grab and go/heavy hors d'oeuvre style with no formal seating. Mini shrimp and grits that she found mini tiny black crocks to put them in, mini chicken and waffles with toppings were hits but everything was complemented on. We also had a severe gluten allergy guest handled perfectly well. There was one hiccup that naturally I was pretty upset over because it was discussed, in the proposal, and discussed again at the walk through in person with the venue. Our cocktail hour hors d’oeuvres were supposed to be passed after the ceremony, for an hour. Instead they were set out with all the main food which opened about an hour after the ceremony while we were on the property doing photos. I didn’t find out until about 15 mins left of the cocktail hour via my venue’s coordinator (who should have noticed earlier but she was included at no extra fee), so by then it was too late. So just double triple confirm everything! But the quality and value was 5 star and she nailed our challenge. This was 2022 by the way, late review.

Spoke with Sus for about 30 minutes arranging a vegetarian menu for my daughter’s birthday party, and she said she would send me the menu overview and quote that day.. she didn’t send it so I called a few days later asked if she sent it and she said something to the effect of ‘your event isn’t for another month so we have time, I’ll send it next week’.. I said ok fine, waited a week and still didn’t receive anything from Sus.. called her again yesterday, she didn’t even remember me and couldn’t find any information of my order said she needed to go home to look at her papers see if it’s there and she would call me back.. never heard from her. Definitely disappointed with the lack of communication here.

Sus and her team at Maison Culinaire did a great job for us on a large catering job. We needed a total of 500 boxed lunches, split and delivered to two different places each day for seven days. They did an outstanding job providing a variety of delicious items and arrived early every day. Customer service as great too. We had several date changes due to covid. With each change, Sus was flexible and supportive. She was a calming force, exactly what I needed. The quality of her menu is 5 star, as is her staff. Her gorgeous display of dishes was matched by delicious flavors. I received so many compliments from our guests. I am so thankful for all she did to help make the reception so successful.
