Conservatives rejoice! Are you wanting a breakfast place where your conservative values are on every wall? Well, look no further than The Brighter Day Cafe! The wait for the food was quite long, but it gives you plenty of time to look around at the LIBERAL HEROS of the 1980s, and ask yourself, "why?" There's a 1980s theme throughout, but nary a conservative soul displayed. Where is John Wayne, Ronald Reagan, Bush? Do you long to eat your breakfast next to the elderly toting guns, then this is your place! The food was hot and plentiful, if not forgettable. The waitress was friendly.

The country ham and cheese omelet was delicious! But the grilled toast was absolutely the crispiest, tastiest I have ever had! I could have made a meal out of that alone! Will definitely be back! And I highly recommend! This is a Suffolk treasure!Vegetarian options: Options available if you ask.Dietary restrictions: My friend asked for egg white omelet which was readily and cheerfully accommodated.Parking: There are some spots out front on the street but plenty behind the building.Kid-friendliness: Family restaurant which welcomes kids!Wheelchair accessibility: Easy wide entrance with tables easily accessed by wheelchair.

A cozy southern breakfast and lunch place in downtown Suffolk, specializing in dishes with linguiça, a Portuguese sausage: hamburgers, eggs, and served hot dog style. They also serve excellent coffee, which our excellent server made sure didn't run out! Owned by a proud veteran...

I fell in love with this diner. There is a familial feel to this restaurant. The food was great.... I tried some Monster burger that was completely out side of my comfort zone, I crushed it!!!!! There is some sort of sausage with a weird name... cheese blankets..... hamburger seasoned to perfection..... rolls that are soft and chewy but strong enough to hold and sweet enough to enhance..... and IT DID NOT BREAK THE BUDGET!!!!!! And if that was not enough, after eating an amazing meal.... The chef came out and we sang together while he played the acoustic guitar..... we sang Tennessee Whiskey..... the service is amazing to match the food!!!!! Love this family type atmosphere.

Cheese omlet was overflowing with cheese, hash browns we're freshly shredded and tasted delicious - you could taste the potatoes! Over easy eggs were cooked perfectly. Owners were so friendly. Loved the whole sense of America, peace, and tolerance.

Totally unexpected to fine such a beautiful 80's inspired cafe. My sister's and I were just looking for lunch when we happen upon the cute cafe. The food was delicious. The husband and wife are great hard working couple.

My wife and I were visiting this place for the first time. Until we saw the sign in the window. That told us all we needed to know. Which is fine. Just as they can say what they want, we can patronize where we want.FYI, this place isn't for 'us'.
