The restaurant is kind of small and the waitress directed us to sit at a table that was close to the kitchen in a basically empty restaurant instead of telling us to sit wherever we wanted. The service was kind of strange and the food is mediocre and there was an offensive comment written on the menu board about Joe Biden. when asked about it the waitress commented that that was usually up there. We definitely won't be back

We really wanted to like this place but we would never go back. It’s small and pretty cute. They have a stupid menu item called the Biden Burger that is 51 dollars and says it is a one ounce with an old bun and old tomato. Did not try it because it also has a mandatory 51 dollar tip. By this you’d think that the server wouldn’t feel entitled to a good tip despite her lackluster service. The 6 items all showed up separately over the course of about 5-10 minutes. She brought someone a coffee instead of an iced tea but still charged us for the coffee that nobody ordered or drank. She didn’t know what cheese was available on the burgers (meaning whether cheddar was an option-she had to check and I don’t know if she did but I didn’t get cheddar and she never came back to ask if Swiss was ok). The chicken club is horrific. Somehow the chicken was very hard and difficult to chew. Burger was bland and dry. Also no kids menu sized burger available which is annoying considering they are supposedly concerned with rising costs for families to go out to eat. The people we were with generally liked their meal but I was not impressed and would rather support the many great restaurants in Tappahannock.

Don't let the location fool you. Great little diner with friendly staff and delicious fresh-cooked food. We had fried bologna (see pic), potato salad, turkey-bacon melt w/ seasoned fries. Well-worth the visit. We will be back!

First time my wife and I eat here. We get nervous eating at small places in the country because we are minorities, but This place was amazing! The service was outstanding! The owner is a sweetheart! 10 stars!Update- what was once my favorite restaurant had fell all the way off. Very sad because I loved this place. Will not return.

This place is awesome! We go there a lot. We never have had a bad meal. Everyone is very friendly and treat you like family. I would of posted a review a year ago if I knew it an option! We had breakfast, lunch and dinner there so I put other!Kid-friendliness: I don’t have children but they are welcome there and do come in, they are treated very well!Parking: In front of the building, side and back plenty of parking available!

This place is AWESOME. We make the drive from Warsaw because we know it's the best breakfast anywhere around us. The portions are huge, and the omelets are to die for. And man, after you try the omelet, try the pancakes. The staff are super sweet and super accommodating. We showed up 15 minutes past breakfast today and they still made me an omelet, potatoes, and pancake. Highly recommended. Haven't tried lunch yet but my husband got a club sandwich and it was delicious - and so much food he had to get a box!Kid-friendliness: Side room has bigger tables for larger families.Parking: Plenty of parking spaces.

So glad we finally stopped! We have been passing by for years of missed opportunity! The staff is friendly, food is amazing and prices are reasonable. Husband got the chicken salad sandwich with potato salad and said it was some of the best he ever had. I had a great bacon cheeseburger and fries. The cook (maybe owner?) came out and asked if our buns were toasted too much and everything was done ok. The toasted/grilled bread was as the best part! Done to perfection as if I was home doing it! Will definitely go back. Loved it.

What a great little countryside restaurant located between Aylett and Tappahannock VA. Our first visit the food was great the quality and taste was some of the best homemade cooking from a restaurant I have eaten. The owner and staff are some of the nicest people I've met in Virginia. We have returned several times and still remain happy, The daily hours are limited so don't miss out on a great stop.
