This place is amazing! I'm glad they have new owners! We came here and ordered a ton of food for our family ..we tried the shrimp and fish, crab cake sandwich, flounder, catfish, fries, baked beans, Mac n cheese, coleslaw and hush puppies. Everything was seasoned to perfection and cooked perfectly! Being from DC(known for mumbo sauce) we LOVED their version of mumbo sauce and told them they should bottle it! It's sweet yet packed with flavor and heat!! Their bubbas sauce is torch too!!! The service we received at the register placing our order to waiting for our food at our table was a vibe. The music was a vibe and made the ambiance special for us! The best food in Tappahannock hands down!!!!!

I was excited to see them back since they were forced to shut down during covid and i had heard good things about their food after recently moving here. However, I didn't appreciate having to wait in line for almost ten(10) minutes while she was catching up with a friend (l'm not assuming, unfortunately i could hear the conversation and she actually made eye contact with me and didn't say a word just keep "catching up" she could have simply taken my order and then gotten back to that conversation.) while I am standing there waiting to place my order. That's not good customer service and it's unprofessional and inconsiderate I would have said something to her respectfully but I left and sent a friend in to order my meal. I know the world is changing but I'm "old school" and customer service seems to be a lost art, so she lost a customer today because she is the owner and excellence starts at the top.

Get the catfish and shrimp basket with bubba sauce! I don't know what's in that sauce but it's delicious. I am so glad they are open again! Their coleslaw is great too and I tend to be picky about coleslaw because I make my own and theirs is close to my own recipe.

Terrible service from counter person and the cook. Unfriendly and slow. The entire place was dirty and bathrooms out of order.
This place just kinda popped up here in Mechanicsville and replaced a Skrimp Shack. Have not seen any local or social media advertising about an opening etc which is strange for a business these days. Anyhoo, had the Shrimp sandwich and Fish and Shrimp medium combos for lunch, also came with 2 hush puppies which were good and a good portion of fries with cocktail and tarter sauces. Both sauces were very good as well as hush pups. Nice large size shrimp, could have had a little more fish with the combo and fries were very salty. Cool inside layout, nice vibe and staff was friendly, will be back again since it’s local to try some other meals

Cole slaw,Rice pilaf and bake beans definitely need a better recipe rice not made fresh it was sitting in a container that they only heats up it's never the same person doing the bears was good now horrible for the money you pay everything should be fresh the bread is bigger than the crab cake your lunch if your food is cooked in fresh grease definitely need improvement

We we're just out riding on this beautiful day and got a tad bit hungry. This place did not disappoint us. Everything was great. The service was great and the food is even greater. The portion sizes were good, the place is clean and very welcoming. I'm glad we decided to give them a try.
