First vegetarian restaurant I've been to and I enjoyed it! A friend of mind was visiting and wanted to go to this place, I'm no stranger to trying new food so I was game. Place has a real mom and pop feel and is located in Vienna. It's located in its own building on near the intersection of Nutley and Chain Bridge Road (Maple Ave). The folks there were really nice and helped me understand the items on the menu, I had no idea was burdock but the owner was really helpful in explaining what it was. The food came out great, I actually would go here again even though I am more of a omnivore.

We've loved sunflower for years - literally everything is amazing every time whether we dine in or grab take away

I wish I can rate this store with aero star. The foods are mediocre. The service is the worst that we had met in all the restaurants in the US. The guy, Harsha, is a racist towards us without providing any service and has a very bad attitude! It is a bad restaurant and never go to the store again!

I would give 0 stars for the service if I could. Rude customer service , the order was literally made for the sake of making as we paid for it - the drinks were inconsistent - one had sugar added one did not, we ordered for a dish which they never brought out and after waiting for long when I enquired about it the staff comes to say that the counter was closed which they could have informed beforehand. There was negligence in serving us. More importantly, when we came in and asked to take a preferred seating area the staff was rude about it and was sighing when we took up a table we wanted while handing out the spoons which made us feel uncomfortable right from the start. The closing time is 10pm but once the other customers left and it was just us, they stopped the music, acted like we were unwanted and had to leave when it wasn’t even closing hours therefore making us extremely uncomfortable and ill treated. Never coming back and never recommending. Also my personal opinion, but I felt the staff was racist towards people of Indian background. The food was also extremely average.

Unfortunately, the food was bland, there was a fly in the dining area, and they were out of lemonade. Our waiter was nice though.

Don't go! Food was terrible and cold, place is dirty, tables left unclean whole time we were there, service was good and friendly but can't make up for food that is worse than at mall.

Amazing place for vegetarian Asian food! Cute sunflower decor inside. Staff is friendly, but not the most attentive. Service was quick though. We really enjoyed the Crispy Happiness. It was "beef" with broccoli and some shredded carrots. Very flavorful and crispy!! Came with brown rice. The Veggie Patty in Tom Yum Soup with noodles was also so delicious! Lots of veggies like cabbage, baby corn, bean sprouts. Very hearty!

The staff was very unwelcoming and inhospitable. The girl at the reception was kind but the waiter was rude and the food was not up to the mark.

Been coming here since the late '80s, even before I became vegetarian in '92. Have introduced friends and family to it over the years, and even the non-vegs loved it. Sunflower was one of the last restaurants in Vienna and surrounding area to resume in-house dining following covid. Since reopening, however, the taste has been noticeably different (and not for the better). It was only upon my 2nd post-covid visit that I learned ownership had changed; and so has my allegiance. Have found other veg/vegan alternatives in northern VA.

Disappointing after trying for the first time. Interior was ok, many artworks of sunflowers. Service was good and friendly. The food was overpriced. Hit or miss depending on what you ordered.

The only full vegetarian restaurant around. They hit it out of the park on Asian food. My companion did not feel the curry was very good. Many different options for dietary choices. I wish there were more restaurants that cater to vegetarians around. I did not miss the meat at all.

We just came here for Valentine's Day for the first time tonight. The food was magnificent! We loved the Age Tofu as our appetizer. The orange sauce tasted really fresh that came with the tempura eggplant and veggies. The Hong Kong tofu was so yummy and the veggies were fresh. The Singapore street noodles were a great entree to split with our other two entrees. Very tasty spices used, and all of the dishes seemed flavors and ingredients seemed intentional and not simply thrown together. Recommend this place for anyone who loves cruelty-free, fresh food. We look forward to our next visit!Vegetarian options: Tons of amazing vegetarian and vegan options
