I’ve been coming here consistently for the past couple of months. Their menu has a great selection of standard Thai dishes and other dishes that you won’t be able to find anywhere else in NOVA. I’ve tried their curries and noodles and they were great but I love picking from their Street Food Menu. Every time I come here, I try one “normal dish” and two “new” dishes. All of them have been good and very authentic (at least to what I remember from my travels to Thailand).Their seafood is always perfectly cooked. I recommend their calamari appetizer and Hoi Tod (Mussel Pancake). Both are crispy without the seafood being overcooked. The food also comes out quickly and tastes freshly cooked.I don’t know why this place doesn’t have more reviews!! I would recommend Thai Mom for anyone who loves Thai food or is an adventurous eater :)

I recently discovered a Thai restaurant near my home that serves good food, perfect for chilly and rainy days. The wall inside the restaurant is decorated with a big phrase that reads, "Don't eat less, just eat Thai food." I wholeheartedly agree with this statement, as I am a huge fan of Thai cuisine. Everything was great except for the Strawberry Cheesecake, which was overly sweet and lacked actual cheese, despite its name.

Never again ! Ordered takeaway First : the place smells as you walk in …I ordered 1. So called seafood soup 2. Thai spicy duck curry .Seafood soup ; should not be called seafood soup at all ( has 1 shrimp, 1 clam everything else was mushrooms & 1 cherry tomato that’s it ) . I called & let them know .Then moved on to the duck yikes ! The most rubbery chewy ducks I’ve ever had with a very distinctive smell . It was 8pm tried to push myself to eat it but it was truly not edible at all :(( I called again & said I have to return it for them to see the texture !! , owner kept arguing & arguing . I drove back again 8:30pm spoke to the owner in all honesty . At that point it wasn’t about the money as much as it was I wanted them to see how terrible the texture was . The Audacity of the owner to say “ have you had duck before ? This is how it tastes . The soft duck is not a true quality duck ! I explained to her it’s the zillion times I’ve had it around Vienna, falls church and DC never have I tasted something like that - it should be very soft never chewy with that smell .! Her response wasn’t the greatest . She voided the charge citing “ because I was honest with her !!! It’s sad that for over $30 meal to get such quality . There’s a lot of competition out there . Quality is shameful . Plus. I’m inquired when did they open ? They said it’s the very same place that was there earlier just changed the name to MAMA THAI because license expired! The whole thing is just not right . Never again

Very friendly Mom and Pop Thai restaurant. Definitely all cooking "home cooked" style by Mom owner and her husband. My favourite is Hoi Tod. An expertly cooked crispy egg pancake with muscles on a bed of stir fried bean sprouts. Street food where no other Thai restaurants offer in their menu. Try it!

On Christmas Eve, I ordered crab fried rice and tom yum noodle soup for our dinner. It was my first time trying this restaurant because of good reviews. I used Google to order and double-checked for peanuts since my husband is super allergic.Google menus included list of ingredients used for each menu. Because there was no mention of peanuts, I chose tom yum noodle soup. Other menu items that contained peanuts clearly listed peanuts as ingredients. When we got our food and started our Christmas Eve dinner, my husband had a bit of the soup and got sick right away. I was worried and reached out to the store manager, Emmie. Her response was that it was our fault for not leaving a note. But there wasn't a place to leave a note when ordering. Our Christmas Eve dinner was ruined because of this.

The sheer negligence of this restaurant in omitting crucial ingredient information, leading to potential allergic reactions, is not just alarming but downright irresponsible. A close friend of mine nearly ended up in the Emergency Room due to the undisclosed ingredients in the food they ordered. Shockingly, instead of taking responsibility for the harm caused, the restaurant callously refused to issue a refund. Such a blatant disregard for customer safety and a refusal to make amends raise serious questions about the integrity of this establishment. What kind of business operates with such callousness and lack of accountability? I strongly advise against patronizing this place for the sake of your own safety – a restaurant that prioritizes profits over the well-being of its customers is not one to be trusted.

I love small restaurants frequented by locals. The food goes beyond your standard Thai menu with lots of street food options and a wealth of vegetarian items.Vegetarian options: Tofu and vegetable options for all entrees.
