“This is the epitome of the local beer pub! The atmosphere is almost always great, and the locals that sit at the bar are fun to chat with. If you get them warmed up, you will be laughing over a cold beer in no time. The burgers are some of the best in Roanoke, and all of the home cooked food specials will hit the spot. Prices are hard to beat. Don't pass the spot by when you come into Vinton!“

“Very pleasant place from the front door and throughout the facility. The bar and food area are very clean and the workers are more than willing to help. The food is excellent and so are the drinks. The machines are wiped down after each person when possible. I recommend this facility for super fun, food and entertainment“

“We love this place and I would normally give them a 5 but when we went on St Patrick Day they were have issues. We ordered a sandwich and it came without coleslaw and when we asked why we were told they ran out. They even ran out of pickles! We ordered a shot off their list of shots that came with a commemorative shot glass figuring it would have the year and at least something about St Patrick's Day and it only had their name on it. I would still go again but I guess I need to ask questions“

“Had an enjoyable evening out during a business dinner. Atmosphere was 5 star! Service was almost 5 star, however we did feel a bit rushed in getting our food order in before we were even served our cocktails. The food was very good and we will return on our next visit to Roanoke!“

“Every Wednesday Sidecar has a Neighborhood Night with a 3 Course Menu Special which they email you ahead of time in order for you to have time to make a reservation if you think you would enjoy the items mentioned. This Wednesday, the appetizer was Seared Sea Scallops, the main entrée was Beeler's Duroc Pork Chop, and for dessert Biscoff Ice-cream. I happen to like these three items so I decided to make a reservation and go try out this restaurant for the first time. I arrived at 5:00pm sharp to my reservation and was greeted by the friendly host with a welcome smile. I was impressed by the warm atmosphere of the place with lots of wood accents and hunter green painted wall lined up with booths on one side and a long bar with many stools on the other side. At front there are a couple of small rooms with a few tables as well. The host took me to one of the booths in the center of the restaurant and the waiter came by to introduce himself and bring a glass of cold water that had a wonderful taste. In water the more tasteless it is makes for the best taste. I told the waiter that I was going to have the Neighborhood Night Menu of the Day and I also ordered a few slices of a Baguette with butter to start with while I waited for the food to be ready. The Seared Sea Scallops appetizer arrived and was outstanding. The waiter came by my booth at the appropriate times to check on me and fill my glass of water with more cold water. The Pork Chop main course was a nice size and very tasty. I was very satisfied with the portion size and with the flavorful cuisine. After feeling full and very satisfied with the food. I asked for the dessert that was truly a sweet complement to complete this wonderful dining experience. I highly recommend this restaurant for when you want to have a nice gourmet dinner, alone or with family and friends.“

“Let me start by saying I'm really picky about what I eat , when I went in initially they selected the wrong cheese and when I informed them, they just responded to give them a few minutes and they went and made it correct. When I got home and open the food. It was fresh and it looked good The taste was the stellar for me. I had the Philly cheesesteak and it was delicious. The portion is more than worth your dime. I will definitely order from here again ...probably often. Thanks for a great experience.???“

“We had the best date night here! A Sunday evening made for a small crowd and very quick service. Sarah was our incredible waiter and we enjoyed a sampling of appetizers and drinks. Definitely a restaurant for special occasions since it is pretty expensive but the atmosphere and menu offerings are very unique! Highly recommend :)“

“I went on Friday and had so much fun! The staff is so nice (Brandy and the other girl). I probably had 1 too many drinks! I misbehaved a little bit. I hope I didn't seem weird and I look forward to going again soon. The food is good as well. I had it awhile back.“

Guys & Dolls Billiard Bars • $$
1519 Williamson Rd NE, Roanoke - 1.99 miles

“I love this place, and find frustration in the postings (ratings) of some who assigns low ratings because they're complete HATERS . Guys and Dolls is a Kool place to go, and the owner, Big John, has a heart of Gold. There are many people whose very livihood is dependent on Big John (said dependence has been long and is ongoing as we speak) as quiet as it's kept.“

Also, my husband and I LOVE when they host karaoke nights! The DJ has an astounding selection of songs and is always amiable and will even duet if asked- he’s a great singer too!! “Wow and here i was fighting for my dear tastebuds til i met tom brady at an establishment without a bell that rings with chinese essense as you enter. The jukebox didnt play kung fu fighting, instead it played take me home . The white walls and prestigious decor had me hooked. I didnt get along with a chick so i guess you can say i had beef with patty. Mr Brady made it all better by offering me hospitality and a hand shake. I will never forget that southern comfort and palm sunday will never be the same from ashes to ashes and dust to dust. Here i will always drive my bus. All aboard!!! Here comes a high five and a cow joke ..... When i walk, me think in irish accent . It is pure and rich like lucky charms. You will not find a toy in my cereal box. Look for a tall bald man coming soon to eat burgers that i know are not local domesticated cats that have updated shots and vaccines. My cat passed away after going to the pound 3 times. When i entered here, tom put out a fist and let me pound it“

“Small menu with excellent food. I had the 3 taco platter with shredded beef, and it was outstanding. Beef was succulent and flavorful, flour tortillas were loaded with meat and shredded cheese. The green salsa set it over the top. Probably some of the best Mexican food I've had in a very long time, and I have a pretty high bar when it comes to Mexican food. The prices were very reasonable. We didn't have any margaritas, but the ones we saw going to tables looked good -“
