No Veterans Appreciation Discount. The Tacos were soggy with barely any ingredients. Don’t waste your money you will be disappointed!!

Does not give a military discount and for some reason does not appreciate Law Enforcement. Taco were damp and soggy with very few fillings. Save your money.

The food was really good. The place was clean. The price seems a little high. Until you get your portion. Then you realize the price is fair for what you get. They was not busy when we was there. I feel they could have done a little better on the drank refills. But not a big deal. I drank a lot of soda when I eat. That's Why I like it when I can just refill myself. I will definitely be going back and I recommend it for anyone looking

The food here is fantastic - infinitely better than the previous establishment that was in this space. While they have to Americanize the menu to a degree to satisfy their clientele, they have a lot of great dishes that are authentic and compare to my dining experience in similar genre of restaurants in the barrios of larger cities. This is not fine dining Mexican. It’s a casual place with your standard Mexican mid-level fare. Maybe order something you’ve never tried before for a more authentic experience! They do charge for chips and salsa but let’s be real- most of us don’t need a basket of chips prior to a meal. We are a country with an obesity problem. The servers are extremely hospitable and kind, and I didn’t experience any barrier when it came to communication. I’ve eaten here multiple times since they opened and have never gotten sick.Vegetarian options: No meat fajitas are a great vegetarian option.Dietary restrictions: Tacos Rojas will accommodate any request! Just ask.Kid-friendliness: Great for families.

This place was awesome the birria torta was phenomenal. Dipping sauce was excellent. My wife got shrimp burrito. It was really good and she also got a strawberry margarita and it was awesome. Can’t beat it for the money. I would highly recommend this place.

I’ve eaten at the downtown location before many time with no complaints. However, I got the birria tacos and a margarita and the person I went with got a different dish and a different margarita and we both were sick the following day. I have been sick for 2 days following eating there, not able to hold food down and don’t have an appetite. Also, there were floaties in our waters that we had to ask twice for. There was no one else in the restaurant while we were eating lunch. Service was great but I am scared to eat here again. :(

The service was great and the shrimp ceviche and tacos al pastor were yummy! Didn't like that they charge you for chips/salsa& don't tell you when they ask you! The margarita was a retro green color and tasted mostly of the mix. Not overly impressed. Atmosphere the same as previous business as they kept the tables and chairs.

Waited for this location to get their ABC license before trying it for the first time, because how can you have Mexican food without a margarita?? Multiple Mexican restaurants have been located in this location over the years, and other than a little fresh painting inside, it's pretty much the same atmosphere. Menu has some different options than all the other restaurants I've frequented, so I was hopeful they would bring some fresh tastes other than just the same old Mexican you get everywhere else. Unfortunately they did not. Taco Rojas is no better or no worse than all the other Mexican options in the Roanoke Valley, and trust me I've tried most of them. It's just a shame that no one cares enough to bring Mexican food to another level in this area. Same flavors, same chewy chicken, just same old, same old. Waitress was friendly, but the language barrier was obvious when asking any questions at all. Margaritas were standard fare as well. Just really nothing at all to set this restaurant apart from all the other already available options.Parking: Parking lot is a little tight, and difficult to get in and out

Seriously so good! Go check this place out if ya can!Pictured is the birria torta, birria tacos, enchiladas, and taco salad. All of it was great and the waitress was so kind.I’ve had their tacos before and they are all great too.Not pictured is their cheese sauce, which is the best we’ve ever had. They also make a chorizo queso dip that smacks. Legit, you will smack your abuela!Wheelchair accessibility: Everything is one level and wheelchair accessible.
