We drive 12 hours to Virginia Beach for April vacation each year. Aloha Snacks is our first meal when we get there. We consider it our comfort spot. This year they went up and beyond to help our family when something went wrong. The kindness and caring was amazing.Thank you!P.s. The Pad Thai is incredible and the guava crushes are a must have!

I've been here a few times, and every time I’ve been here, the experience and the food have been great! I’ve eaten from the food truck also, and let me tell you for a food truck it is incredible! The restaurant has a great beachy Hawaiian vibe (hence the name). The picture below is the “Spicy Poke Tots,” My first thought was raw fish and fried tots? I was a little skeptical, but surprisingly, it blended well! It was delicious! Also, it’s not overly spicy. Other things I’ve had is the “Mini Poke Taster” it is refreshing on a hot summer day. Also, you can’t go wrong ordering off their special menu. I have yet to be let down! Also, the fries are off the chain!!

The food is good, but their Hawaiian cowboy burger supposedly has pineapple on it. All you get is maybe an eighth of a piece of pineapple. I had asked them to put extra pineapple and they told me it comes with two, so they asked if I want 3 which would be 1 additional than what it comes with. In my mind I am going to get three slices of pineapple . What I got was three very tiny pieces of pineapple pieces. They also did not act in a professional manner considering online it says clearly that their cowboy burgers are only $13. I ordered two Hawaiian burgers and two waters and I paid $43. When I asked them about it, they told me that they had been trying to get Google to change their prices for a while now and that it’s actually 16 per burger instead of 13. It seems to me that most businesses if the Internet is wrong And you ordered it thinking it was $13 would have given it to you for the 13 until they fix it. It seems to me the professional thing to do would have been given it to me for the 13. Also, I called the order in as a to go order, and they put my food in a bag and stapled it shut. If I had not pulled open the bag and looked in I would not have noticed until I was long gone that I did not get the water that I paid six dollars for. I mentioned the water was not there to the waitress and she explained to me I was not charged for it. At that point I forked out another six dollars on top of that $43 I initially paid, making it a total of FIFTY BUCKS I paid for two burgers and 2 waters. When I got out to the car and began thinking about how much money I was charged I called in side and they did give me back my six dollars. However, as I said they were still charging me $16 a burger even though online it said $13 per burger. Management should’ve done the right thing and charge me the 13. All they did was tell me about how they have been asking them to change it for a long time …that’s not the customers fault. Between being charged 16 for a burger that said 13 online, only getting three tiny pieces of pineapple on my burger, them, not, including the water in my takeout in my bag, which could’ve caused me a lot of trouble, and then charging me twice for the water, this is probably the last time that I come here. They apologize for the water situation and of course I was just very sweet about it all and never said a thing except for it’s OK. But after thinking about the entire situation, especially the $13 as opposed to $16 difference, which was a six dollar difference when you’re ordering two burgers and getting the tiny amount of pineapple, they lost a customer. Should’ve charged me what online said

Unique Hawaiian style restaurant even has Spam in some of their menu items. I decided on an Avocado burger with cheese for $14. It was good especially the bun; but I should have gone with the Hawaiian Cowboy because for $2 more you got a second hamburger patty and pineapple slice and Spam. The waffle fries were nice and crispy. Also got the painkiller drink which was great! Only complaint was relatively expensive due to the 5.5% meal tax and 6% sales tax. But that applies to all restaurant meals at Virginia Beach.Parking: Parking is in their lot.

I’ll start off with the atmosphere:It’s what you’d expect for a Hawaiian theme restaurant in Virginia of all places. Flowers, aloha tshirts, spam, basically anything that people would relate to Hawaii. 3 out of 5 m; just felt forcedFood: 3 out of 5This easily could have gotten a 5/5 if the portions were bigger. For $24, I would’ve wanted more. The sauces were on point but the portions were small.Customer service: 3/5It is easter weekend and spring break. I understand being busy. But the cashier girl was STRESSED. The phone was ringing and she was asking the people making food to take the call and they said they were also busy and she said, “how am I supposed to do two things at once?!” It’s not hard. Answer the call and put them on hold, finish what you’re doing and then take the call. For reference, I asked to take the food to go. I ordered the Tsunami poke I think is what it’s called.Little things that need adjustments but the potential is there.

Pretty good poke bowls but my poke bowl and a beer cost about $37. The staff is super nice and helpful, the only thing I don't agree with is the restaurant prices at a sit-down self serve place. Other than that cash shock pretty good and would go back again. Google says it's $10-$20 so I'm just here to say it's definitely more than that probably closer to $20-$40 range as far as pricing.

Aloha Snacks is a great restaurant in Virginia Beach.Simply put this is fast casual meets Michelin star. Unique, high quality food.Must try:Farmer’s Poke-not your traditional this poke. It features spicy salmon and fried green tomatoes and coconut aioli.I also recommend any of the specials (always changing). The cheeseburgers are great. Smash burger style….Order the Gnarly Burger….thank me later. If you like craft beer. Have the team help you pick a draft or can. You won’t be disappointed.Oh yeah and if the Chef is there ask for an autograph or a picture bc he Beat Bobby Flay on national television with his now world Famous Lumpia (also worth ordering!)PsIf you’re near Aloha Snacks for breakfast give the “Bacon My Heart” a try. It’s the best breakfast burrito on the planet.

This is my second time here and Aloha snacks never disappoints! I am originally from Hawaii, born, raised, and lived there for 40 years. Aloha snacks is really able to capture both the aloha essence and flavor of Hawaii. Very creative, flavorful, made with pure aloha. The staff is so warm and welcoming, even the owner “Jessie” himself came to say hello and extended his hospitality to my family and I. We aretruly impressed! Thank you all so very much!
