I really wanted to love this place, but it just wasn't what I was expecting after all the hype. First I will say scallops were delicious. Crab cake had no flavor, cheesy mashed potatoes didn't taste of any cheese. The vegetable medley was really not good at all. Service was nice. Perhaps I ordered poorly, I don't know but I left so disenchanted.

Had an early dinner today with my friend. Before we even stepped onto the sidewalk the door swung open and we were greeted with cheerful smile. Our server was awesome. She read off the daily specials like a champ and answered all of our questions. We even received a complimentary shrimp snack before our appetizer even arrived and delicious homemade biscuits. The owner greeted every table multiple times and even cleared plates. The shrimp cocktail was very good and beautifully plated. I had a blacked salmon salad which was equally as tasty. For dessert we had the BEST key lime pie. All of this for under $100 and we were in and out within an hour (granted we did get salad so I’m sure other dishes take longer) i would highly recommend this hidden gem. This is a small restaurant that doesn’t take reservations as we left around 5:30pm the place was already packed and had a 15min wait. Don’t let that hinder you tho! It’s worth it. If i lived In VA beach id be a regular.

The best. Having lived on Shore Drive and regularly gone to seafood resturants on Lynhaven Inlet, this is definetly a dining experience worth the drive off of Shore Drive and wait for a table.

We had a wonderful meal and incredible service. However....there was a baby stroller across from us and I thought it was a baby. Then during part of dinner we heard snarling which was briefly disturbing because we couldn't figure out where if was coming from. I'm looking under my table. Lol. To my shock it was two small dogs in a stroller. Service dogs? I don't think so with the snarling. I chose to not say anything out of respect for diners and staff but who decides to let two small dogs in a small restaurant and we have to listen to snarling?. After the dog family left, I wasn't the only diner wondering what was up. Code of VA only allows service dogs and they certainly were not behaving like service dogs and two at the same time in a stroller?

Wonderful locally owned seafood spot. Owners are wonderful. My daughter expressed her desire to work in a kitchen one day while we were there for her birthday, year ago, and they let her have a quick peek at the kitchen while we were there. The food and drinks are always amazing.
First time for me and my wife. We've had a few tries but they are always busy. It is clear now why that is! Great experience all the way around! It's an intimate place with limited seating which is good. Instead of sports programming on the flat screens, they have ocean scenes playing continuously to create a relaxing vibe. The attention everyone gets is first class! The owner/chef is continuously in the dining area serving/visiting/checking on everyone to assure our experience is first class. The food is 5 star from appetizers to desserts. We had oyster appetizer, broiled seafood entree, and key lime dessert and it was all delicious! I also want to say that on a very few occasions that have always indicated how much the leadership of a fine dining restaurant wants their guests to feel a little fussed over, we have had the chef bring out a little something to taste before we even look at the menus. Charles brought us a little cheese and jam tasting that was just right! It's a little thing, but it speaks volumes of their commitment to your experience! Our whole experience was relaxing and fun!We will be back and we will recommend Blue to everyone!

We enjoyed it enough to go back twice in one week. I visited with 2 different family and friend groups after Thanksgiving and loved everything. Be sure to mention any allergies because not everything is spelled out on the menu. The drinks were strong. luckily we had A designated driver.

Has always been one of my fave places to go over the years, tonight i decided to dine alone at the bar. Always such a good atmosphere in here. Ordered a old fashioned while deciding what to eat, normally the specials are always my go to but tonight I decided to go for the pork chop. Hands down best I have had in the 757!!Ordered myself a keylime to go to make some space for the couple waiting to be seated.Really is my fave place to go not just in redmill area but in the 757!
