First time coming back here in a while and the food quality has become very poor. I had crab cake meat that tasted very watery, the crab legs barely had any meat inside, the mac & cheese had no flavor, and my salmon was also very bland.The decor inside is great, the service was alright, but the food quality is not worth the price. Need to focus on quality over quantity out here.

What an amazing restaurant. Weather you order off the menu or have the incredible buffet the food is absolutely extraordinarily delicious. The owner accepts nothing but the best from his staff. From the host or hostess, servers cooks, food delivers and all the rest they are outstanding. If you live in the area or are visiting Va beach this is a must do restaurant will be the best meal you will ever have. Vacationing this is a MUST.

The quality of the food has gone down substantially in the past year. The crab legs are either dry or under seasoned and the next time over seasoned with salt and overcooked. We have tried 2x in the past year and have been disappointed both times spending over $250 each time and walking out extremely disappointed. Family came into town hoping to go there a couple of weeks ago and we just couldn’t bring ourselves to go a 3rd time to be disappointed again spending that much.

I’ve been to Captain George’s multiple times, but this particular time I went for my birthday. The food was excellent as always. I’m allergic to shrimp so I was happy to find that they use separate steamers for the different types of shellfish and that the crab legs and shrimp were not located together (cross contamination). It is on the expensive side, but given the price of a pound of crab legs at a different restaurant, the all you can eat food is definitely worth the price.
