More than filling! We ate the Fried Chimichangas and the Guad-Especial, and both were more flavorful than I could believe. Often, at other Mexican restaurants, the filling is bland and food relies on the topping--NOT HERE! Seasoned chicken and beef in both my Chimis, and the Guad-special was just as delicious. Also had a Chili relleno that was amply stuffed and just as tasty as everything else. Fast service and a friendly staff, and the decor was nice, with roomy booths and typical Tex-Mex decor (though not too much, so not tacky!) We will definitely add El Portillo to our list of favorites. Looking forward to more treats next visit!

Ordered the parrillada and choripollo. Definitely lacked flavor all around. The parrillada was more like fajitas. We’ve ordered from them a few times and the flavor is just never there. No salt no seasonings, it’s like they just cooked the food and put in the tray and voila food is served. Especially at this price point, we might as well go across the street to patrona or down the road to palmas.

The portion size of this chicken nacho was insane. We visited this restaurant for the first time and we were not pleased. My son and husband ordered chicken nachos -which it came with only cheese sauce, chicken, and a few chips underneath it. This was supposed to be dinner, however, it didn’t do the job. Here are the pictures, no one had even started to eat it yet and it looks half eaten.

ordered food , thru a 3rd party and asked to make sure there was no onions due to allergy, the person picking up ask them to remake due to allergy which was noted on the order they said no because they would lose money .
