This is the cutest gem!!! The tea is wonderful, the snacks and food are delicious, the place is clean and charming. Everything about this is an absolute win!! I can understand fully why it's reservation only, but making one is easy. I've been here twice with a good friend and I'm super excited to go back!
I took my granddaughter to ERTR for a sweet tea experience. She loved it and so did my grandson. The atmosphere was sweet and full of magical wonder. They were kind to give us a table because we didn't have a reservation. We tried calling but we were informed they only take reservations online via FB and Insta. The food was yummy and my overall experience was great. I think the price was a little high but with today's economy I didn't expect much less. I wouldn't take small children unless you know they can handle a true tea room atmosphere. There are lots of breakables at every turn. That being said take a friend for tea. You'll really enjoy this spot.

Went there and was told we couldn't be seated due to an incoming private party. Would have been nice of the place to answer the phone any of the three times I called prior to driving there so I would have known that.

This was such a cute experience!! The ladies there are so sweet and personable; the tea menu is simple and delicious. Plus, they have seasonal teas as well!!! Would definitely go back. It was cool to see everyone dressed up with their tea hats!!! It's small and intimate but I think that's what adds to the atmosphere!!
My mom and I went and had tea together and it was the perfect fun activity for us to do. She has been having a hard time lately and it was a treat that made her feel special. The staff was so nice and the food was delicious! We have already scheduled our next one at the holidays!

My sister and I enjoyed Tea for Two at The English Rose Tea this week. The food and service were excellent. We had so much fun sampling each layer. We also were served a delicious autumn inspired apple dessert. We will definitely be back.

Disappointed I took my sister and aunt for tea last week. My sister and I each had the "royal tea" which was over $30 + tax each. It was so disappointing. I have been to a number of tea rooms in MD, PA, as well as in England. The prices here are very high but the portions and food quality are low. The "sandwiches" were tiny. The "sweets" were tiny 1" treats that you could buy at Walmart or Sam's Club. The quiche and soup were not hot. I will not be back and definitely do not recommend it. I have been to this tea room in the past and not had this experience. Possibly it is under new ownership or struggling financially. Also, customers arrived, stood by the front door and waited for quite a while before the host/server came out. In addition, it is disappointing that you cannot find their menu online and you cannot talk to anyone there by phone.

Slow down your pace and take a step back in time. Soak in all the atmosphere. I've been there twice, and the food and tea and service are spectacular. The second time, slow and special attention was given to my 9-year-old granddaughter, which was truly appreciated. I inquired about the tea I was drinking, and the owner advised me where I could purchase it online. Come As You Are, or dress up in your finest English Floral and hat.Parking: Both times I was able to park right in front of the shop. Wonderful!
