Michelle was an AMAZING server and the food was AWESOME! Get the shrimp and grits if they are on the specials menu, it was out of this world good!

Loved the rustic atmosphere and history of this place. The service was outstanding and everyone was super friendly. We ordered takeout and they had it ready faster than we imagined! The food was delicious - southern comfort food - chicken n dumplings and turnip greens. All that was missing was Grandma's cornbread! Highly recommend.

The seafood was absolutely horrible, it was not fresh at all. When I told the waitress about it she just said she thinks it's fine and loves their seafood. Then when I got the outrageous $95 tab for 1 appetizer and 2 platters I didn't tip so the waitress didn't give me a box and glared at me until I left. I'm not sorry that I didn't tip because I was told I have a problem because my food was horrible. I will never make the mistake of going to that dive again.
Visiting for a week and eaten here twice in three days! Delicious food. We had the Prime Rib special and the French Dip. Amazing!!!! Best sandwich I've ever eaten. Great prices too. Parking isn't great but so worth the trip.

We were in the VA Beach area for a High School track meet and there were advertisements about Icehouse being a local gem. So we decided to give it a try. It was fantastic. Parking in the front was challenging to so we parked in the rear lot which was a lot easier to maneuver in and out of. We were greeted as soon as we walked in.....seemed like a lot of locals at the bar area. We arrived around 7:30p and the place had a good amount of patrons. Very friendly staff suggested we sit by the bar area because it would be more lively, which it was. Everyone there said hi to us and chatted us up in nice conversation. Our waiter was awesome, he suggested some great selections for dinner and we truly enjoyed our time at the Icehouse restaurant. We would recommend it to everyone and we will be back.
