Good food and vibes, but they are incredibly slow. So make sure if the waitress comes to your table you get refills or anything else you need cause you won't see her again for awhile. Make absolutely sure you ask for your check as soon as they bring your food out otherwise you will finish, and be waiting for 20-30 minutes for someone to come to your table for the check. You can try to go for a quick lunch but even my one hour lunch break is usually not long enough for how long they take.It sounds bad but I still go back like once a week because the food is so good.

First time here and very poor service. Too expensive. Much better mexican restaurants within a few miles.

Went for a late dinner around 9:30 and it says it closes at 11. I wanted a small dinner before going out at night. Ordered two tacos and the tortilla was very thick like a popusa. The salsa that came with the tacos barely was enough for one. It came in a small plastic container that was filled 1/4 of the way with salsa. Tacos were expensive for what it was. Service was ok. It took a while for someone to come and take our orders. It was hard to get someone’s attention to get another beer. We received the check without being asked if we wanted anything else. It felt like they were kicking us out even if it was only 10:30 when we were leaving.

Great place to eat but the music is too damn loud. Even with Bose noise cancelling it was still to loud. Almost left probably won't eat here again.

I'm always down for new mexican spots... Especially after eating authentic while traveling. I ordered a few things to devour after enjoying my HH Margaritazzzz. The plantanos frito was ahhhhmazing. Plaintains were cooked perfectly, served piping hot and edges crystalized to the gods above. Accompanied by the best beans i've ever had in my life.Pause- Warning! Lol this review is turning into "all about the beans, babyyyy" cue the music! My loves, idk but these beans were made by the higher power himself. I'm thinking about going back again today just for the beans and plantains. I also ordered fajitas, they are served with two homemade corn tortillas. Who can't go wrong with fajitas?! Anyway- enjoy & if you decide to go- grab some beans & plantains and drop 'em off at my job. Lol

The place was in a random location but we decided to give it a shot. Restaurant had a good environment with the music, television and bar in the entrance. Service was Chips and salads were provided a- i liked that. Tacos de lengua were mid, plus they came without salsa and only had a quarter of a lime for 3 tacos. The sopa de res was alright, meat slid off the bone and it was served with tons of veggies at a good size. Not bad but didn't impress me.

Walked in to get seated. Stood there for over 5 min. Was not greeted and the bartender was just relaxing talking to customers.

Worst Mexican I have ever ate!!! Literally only had 1 piece of steak in my chicken and steak fajitas… no flavor and chicken was dry. I know good Mexican food & this isn’t it!! Waste of money

This place is absolutely amazing with the food choices! The rice is to die for and the chicken just melts in your mouth!! Definitely coming here again and be sure to check out their tienda ( store) next door!

This was one of my favorite spots. Las Tapatias was legit! Then I go today and notice a completely different menu and they were bought out by Costa Del Mar. I wasn't very wow'd. It wasn't terrible but I'm not opposed to finding a new Mexican restaurant either. We do love some of the staff because they're still there but I'd have to say I'm disappointed. If anyone knows where the old crew/cooks went please post!!

Tried to order dinner through Doordash but after 45 minutes I received a call from Doordash saying their dasher was on site but was told that the business no longer does Doordash. This place has someone working on the phone that was unwilling to put me on the phone with a manager to let them know they need to be more proactive with their business in regards to services offered. She hung up, twice! They have good food but failed in customer service.

great job guys.. I almost felt like I was back home in Cali… thank you! See you again soon!✔️PROS•Nachos come in a large portion size•My food was full of flavor in every bite especially the shredded chicken on my nachos.•My churros were sweetly filled, warm and chewy..even after they cooled off…the toppings complemented the churros perfectly.•The corn on the stick is a must try… don’t let the looks fool you. It was like having a party of flavors in my mouth. Tasty!•Food quality 10/10•Fast walk in orders•They deliver through contract delivers•Music, clean bar lounge look on one side, restaurant style on the other side.•Happy Hour✔️CONS•Nachos tend to get soggy fast but still tasty, a side of chips would be beneficial•The corn was really good but average size.. on the west coast they make the same corn twice as long but it was still extremely tasty despite the size. Loved it!•last but not least you will get full fast LOLOverall great place, friendly staff, chill environment, awesome food. The location can be deceiving (no fault of the restaurant) it’s a must see inside…

I should have viewed the reviews on Yelp before coming here, but my boyfriend had come here a few months ago and raved about how good it was, and told me they had elote. Soooo... We come here today and the sign still reads Las Tapatias. The inside looks exactly the same, the tables even embellished with the same name on the sign outside. However, once we receive the menus we realize they are totally different. Yes, Las Tapatias has been bought out by a restaurant called Costa del Mar, as other reviews have pointed out. We should have just gone somewhere else upon seeing that we were misled by the sign, Google listing, and Yelp listing, which all definitely need updated, but we decided to just dine there because we had already driven out of our way and been seated. Anyway, the service was okay, and what we ordered turned out to be really good, albeit pricey. Once we put in our orders (my boyfriend got fajitas and a pineapple agua fresca, me a shrimp quesadilla. We both also got waters), the server brought us our chips and dips. The white sauce was really good. I'm not a fan of salsa but my boyfriend is, and he was eating it up. While we were enjoying that, his agua fresca came out. I had a sip and it was deliciously fruity and refreshing. My partner's fajitas came out first. They were a sizzling hot combination of steak, bacon, and shrimp and veggies. They were served with flour tortillas and a nicely presented plate of veggies, beans, and rice. The portion was a little small compared to other fajitas skillets I've ordered at other restaurants. But he said it was delicious. It smelled mouth-watering, but I'm pescatarian so I didn't have a bite.Next came my shrimp quesadilla. Well, the menu said it was served with a lettuce salad with guacamole and crema. All there was was lettuce and guac with it, so I was looking to get a side of sour cream. After about 10 minutes our table was checked on and I was able to request some (come to find out later I was charged $4 for that small ramekin). The waitresses were busy chatting and they only came over because my partner dropped his knife on accident. Once I finally dug into my food, it was yummy. The quesadilla was a little smaller than other restaurants and had less shrimp than veggies, but it was still good. I like that they cut it in thirds for me.Once we were almost done eating, they brought the check suddenly even though my boyfriend wanted dessert. He was able to add it on and they updated the check. Once I viewed it, I realized how much we were charged for water and sour cream.. $4 each for single water bottles and $4 for a dollop of sour cream. They had even asked us if we want another bottle of water. I'm glad we said no. And as another review said, they automatically added an 18% gratuity. Safe to say, despite the good food, we will not be back. If they simply were transparent with their advertising, they would have gotten a better review.
