This place is a cute little "mom and pop shop" like you'd see down south. The serves are so polite and the food is good. I wouldn't say fantastic, but I will be back again. Plus it's perfect for kids, so breakfast with families is- this is a great place for that. If you're originally from down south, check it out!

This location is currently closed due to staffing shortages. Yelp and Google both show that it is open. We drove over there to confirm and it is closed.

The burgers were outstanding. But what made me only give a 3 star..the soup was lukewarm. I think it would have been great had it been hot. The bakery was a sad place looked like it could use a power wash. If all the goods were in one display case it would have seemed more appealing than a few things in one giving the impression of going downhill

Recommended by a friend we went in for a great breakfast. You must try the potatoes, pancakes and breakfast burrito.

I ate here on my birthday Oct 24th Sunday. Greeted by friendly wait staff. The food was really good, and flavorful. I live around the corner. I don't know why I didn't eat here sooner. Me and my girlfriend will be coming back.

We are Saturdays regulars! Great fried shrimp, big breakfast sandwiches, very generous and fresh house salad! The staff is always wonderful to us; Alex, Janine, Pam, Elijah, and everyone else, too.

The califormia borito was good however the service was not that great She didn't listen to my order even tho she ask what I want as side. Asked about the guest wifi, she told be she didn't give out password. Stated but it's guest ...after she ask someone else she gave me the guest password. There is no donuts during the week even tho it's lidted online, only on the weekends. Got 3 cookies each $ 2 and they were dry out no good...Overall disappointed!

Terrible service from a trusted name. We are loyal surf rider fans. We make day trips from richmond to the poquoson location and would eat at the oceana location mulitple times every trip to virginia beach. This was our first trip in two years due to Covid and found they merged with Liz's. Their sign says they are open until 3pm due to staffing issues. We worked out day around having a late lunch there and pulled up at 2pm. While walking up, one of the servers came outside, told us they were closed and walked back inside.Absolute shame to see them take such a fall.

Virginia Beach staple! Surf Rider is the best breakfast spot in town. Delicious food; modest prices; helpful service; patriotic attitude; clean; spacious. Love love love.

Great sausage gravy and biscuits! My wife had the crab and cheese omelet, which she said was very good.Nice restaurant with great service and decent prices. I think we found a restaurant to have breakfast each year we return to Virginia Beach.

I'm a big shrimp and grits fan and I thought nothing can beat Georgia's s&g. But oh my god.....BEST SHRIMP AND GRITS I EVER HAD IN MY LIFE!! ? The way the girts melts in your mouth like butter. The kick of spice from the sausage complements the peppers and onions. But most importantly the shrimp was so good, juicy and well seasoned. This dish is ? perfection.
