Mr. RK, no one cares you won’t be visiting Lucky Oyster anymore. This is one of the most ignorant reviews I’ve seen. I’m a veteran, retired, 25 years, Army and not in the least bit offended. My brother is law enforcement and also a veteran. Get over yourself. I come here weekly and I will continue to, and so will many other veterans.

To RK, as a veteran over 24 years of service and a huge supporter of all first responders, you do not speak for veterans, only for yourself. This is far from a desecration of our flag, this is just a flag that supports the police. There is also one that supports, fire and military, just like the thin blue line flag. As a patron who frequently comes here, I absolutely love this establishment. The employees are excellent, and the food is always on pare. Today at lunch, there was another patron at the bar who sincerely disrespected the staff as well as other patrons in the restaurant. There is a flag outside of the building displaying support for our first responders. This patron and I quote “the flag is disrespectful to our community”. Yes, by all means, as a veteran myself the flag isn’t quite up to par w flag etiquette, however it is supporting the police who lay their life on the line also. This patron also claims that he is a “veteran” as it may be true, there are also bad apples. Once you see his post (because you will) understand that he’s been here so many times, more than I could count. Don’t take his review as concrete. He also is very rude to employees. Yes… this may be a long post. However, Lucky Oyster prides themselves is in keeping up with a standard of treating their customers with upmost respect!

I’ve been coming here for years but will not visit anymore because of their “thin blue line” flag. As a veteran, I do not appreciate the desecration of the flag in violation of the Federal Flag Code. Take down the disrespectful flag in our community which has a heavy veteran population or veterans like me will continue to boycott.

Food has always been good with our past visits over the years. We always get a basket of hush puppies. They used to be large and very delicious. Last night they were the size of little donut holes. Sad!The Fish Tacos were good but we will never order the hush puppies again.
