Ordered Chicken Fried Steak. Someone microwaved the steak into a rock and sent it anyway.
Ordered crispy hash browns.
They were literally soupy and over salted. Tossed them, along with the over-nuked chicken fried steak.
Ordered a side of ham. Expected a small piece of ham steak. Received 2 very thin deli type slices that looked more like bargin-priced stuff from the super market.

Love this place! The BBQ is great & their signature BBQ sauce is freaking perfection. They have great breakfast too! Oh & they always have really good cookies at the cash register. :)

Nice place and people. 10 gallons of gas and a car wash is a good deal. However the food needs work... This was my second time getting their BBQ. First time was ok and I have it another try today and it'll most likely be my last. I appreciate this being a family run buisness and hate to give not a great review but I have faith they'll turn it around bc I've seen good reviews in the past.. Brisket was tough and dry, pulled chicken was a little dry as well and just not great tasting. Can do much better as this is probably my least favorite bbq I've had in the area. Lots of room for improvement. Hope they turn it around

Food was delicious ? definitely worth the drive from Ghent area. Only thing that could have been better was if the meat was falling off the bone. But as good as the ribs were, I'm sure it sometimes is! Can't wait to bring my kids/grandkids & mom when they visit from West Coast!

757 magazine article said best in VA. 757 needs to go to 936{Texas}. Lived in TX for years not even close to Texas BBQ. Sides were good. Meats not so much. Brisket was cubed should be sliced or shredded. Sauce was thin. If they want to see how's its done go to bodacious BBQ in Lufkin TX.

Stopped here for lunch today- I was very reluctant to get a sandwich from a gas station…. But it was amazing!!! We ordered the pig wich and regular bbq sandwich, and both were phenomenal. The tangy flavors of the pickle & cheese on the pigwich were such a perfect combination! I would have taken a picture of my food, but once I took one bite I could not stop! Staff was very kind and courteous, and we will be coming back again.
