I guess it's their custom to close earlier than their actual closing time. We get there 20 minutes before closing time, which I understanding is cutting it a bit close, but we went there specifically because they are open and made the drive there. The employee is cleaning up and says they are closed. I said I thought they closed at 12, and he pointed to the 'closed' sign on the door and says we're closed, as if saying ' and there's nothing you can do about it'. This is the first time in around 10 years that I thought about going to Papa Johns, if their pizzas tastes good, too bad I won't ever know.

Very rude does not know how to talk to customers, argues with co-workers, and customer!!!!!!! needs to be fired she needs to go . After a long day of traveling we decided to get papa johns all this lady did was throw me out the store I was polite upto when she treated very rude.

So, I was coming off of a 14 hour shift, checked the website and called to make sure the store was open before driving 20 minutes out of my commute way to get a meal. They tell me “we stop taking orders at 10pm” I say “that’s not what the website says” and they proceed to tell me I can call or place the order online. I call twice to have my call deferred to a central hub. I call a third time and get ‘transferred to the store’ where I watch them ignore the call. There was no sympathy shown, no apologies, just a woman trying to LITERALLY close the door on my hand and push me away “because of security reasons.” I’m not saying I don’t understand safety, but I’m also saying I was nothing but polite and asking for anything I could do to get food after my long day. Papa John’s used to be my number one pizza place and I can safely say the treatment I received here was so abhorrent I’ll never visit another Papa John’s in all of Virginia Beach or any of the seven cities.

really lazy people over thier managers don't have customer service skills at all first off order 1 pizza tipped the driver before hand big mistake the pizza went the wrong place so I called store manager she tells me I got my food to eat it 2 hours later and somebody besides the pizza delivery guy brought me my food

Went in at 9:30 last night summer of August 1, 2023. I spent $40 on six pieces of wings and a large pizza pizza was disgusting. Their sauce tasted like it was sin. Beer for days dough was so thin, even though it’s a hand tossed pizza. We didn’t have dinner. Basically, the only thing we ate was the six pieces of wings but when I came in the next day I spoke to the manager she said I don’t care get out that she wasn’t there last night and that she couldn’t pull up the order and that she couldn’t remake or refund very disappointed, never ever ever ever again.?

I don’t know how anyone can possibly have a negative review on this Papa Johns! Hands down, the best pizza I’ve had in a long time. The delivery service is just amazing. I’ve never had delivery from people with such great attitudes. “Thank you, y’all are awesome!” I said with a smile, he says “It’s what we do!” Yes it is sir! Me and my family are enjoying this tonight. I ordered the pasta, cheese sticks, and two pizzas. Me and my husband both are crazy over their pizzas, and they came on the fly, super hot! Delicious. Will order again.

First thing, when I called to place my order, the lady immediately picked up and said hold, then didn’t realize the phone wasn’t on hold because I heard her yelling at someone, I’m assuming a coworker, hopefully not a customer. Either way completely disrespectful!!!!! Then the phone disconnected. I called back and someone else answered and took my simple order, large pepperoni pizza and medium cheese pizza. An hour later, I called up there and was told that the manager was helping out with the orders and supposedly mine got “missed” but would be taken care of soon, and if I wanted it faster then I could come get it!! I drove up there because I was already beyond ready to get my food and bring it home for my kids. When I got there, it still wasn’t ready, so I had to wait about 10 min. As I was walking out a tow truck showed up and almost towed my car!!! I couldn’t believe this place. I will NEVER EVER eat or order here again!!!!!

I would give this place a -5 stars. Saw a pizza cook wipe her face and nose with her hands and then cut a pizza. No washing hands , no gloves absolutely disgusting individual. Staff is never welcoming, talking trash about other costumers while I am in the store...What is going on here? Management needs to babysit these kiddies because they can't act grown.
Worst employees ever, rude and entitled, I’ll eat dirt before I eat here. Parked here to go to the store next door then order pizza, was gone maybe 10 minutes and they tried to tow me

Papa. We have a problem. I ordered a pizza at 10pm for delivery at 11:15 and my pizza was never delivered. I have been unable to contact you and you charged my credit card. I am now hungry and have no other options for food delivery. I will not forget this papa. Tighten up!
