Been in this area for over 40 years. Don't go here often they do have good tasting food. However, the gizzards have been lacking lately. Don't get very many.as you use to and It's little pieces.

Chicken is awesome but one thing I really liked about Pollards was you could get fried liver and gizzard and ordered them for years with great portions and really fresh but I don't know what happened after Covid's till now but they have gone straight downhill the prices went up the portions went down the quality is no where's near the same so I just stopped buying them and KFC is right down the street for chicken It's a shame

We were in the area at the Asian market on Great Neck and walked down to Pollards and decided to go in and get something quick to eat. The door was unlocked and the open sign was on with all of the lights on so we went in. Before we could make it through the second door the lady took off to the back and the other lady that was randomly laid out across the chair said it’s 8 o’clock and the girl that went to the back came back out and said oh we are closed. Before I could say okay have a nice night, the lazy looking girl laying down yelled out “Not tonight!” as we were leaving. The rude unprofessional behavior was uncalled for and if you were closing you should have been locking the doors and turning off the sign so customers know to go elsewhere. I don’t care which city I am in Pollards is just ghetto af unless they are catering and you don’t have to deal with anyone. It’s been a long time since I’ve eaten there because the food is just okay at best but you definitely don’t have to worry about me coming back. I am sitting in my car typing this review before I drive off and all of the staff already walked out of the building five minutes later. Did they clean anything because they were just laying around talking. Thank you for not serving my family. We may have just avoided a potentially unsanitary place.

I used to work for Jonny Pollard and the london Bridge restraunt when they first opened over 50 years ago. I've been all up and down the East Coast while I was in the military, and there's no point in looking for the best chicken restaurant because no one beats Pollards! Michael Harrington US Coast Guard Retired.

Nope…nope nope. Ordered some food (2 pc fried) chicken BLAND not a piece of salt and pepper and Hot sauce didn’t help. Even the soda was flat. Not a great experience but I’m willing to try other locations….this one ain’t it.
Had food deliveredMissing half my orderthey won’t answer the phone to fix this issue very upset will not return idc how good the chicken is or isn’t. The fact of the matter half my order is missing and I can’t even get them to answer the phone to fix this issues very poor customer service and satisfaction.

Not able to give a review on the food because they were closed. 2 workers were inside cleaning and stacking chairs. It was 7:32 pm and they close at 8pm.

Setting the standard for fried chicken in Tidewater for many, many years. Hard to beat and still a great value!
