Definitely the oceanfront location is stunning. Close to several outstanding restaurants. Updates that were done in the unit were sloppy. On site restaurant has been gone for years. Poolside bar & grill was closed as well as the hot tub. Moving forward hopefully the new owners will take into consideration some of my concerns.

Bathroom was way too small. Fire alarm went off in the middle of the night 2 nights in a row. False advertisement as far as the bar/ restaurant at pool 7th fl roof top. (Something we were very much looking forward to) Parking garage was dangerous and very difficult to navigate.

This hotel seems nice to stay at but other than the location, the hotel itself is nothing special. Front desk was rude, pool was so dirty, and the bar they claim to have was not even open!! Highly disappointing

I am a time share owner. It’s been in my family since 1991. They have not upgraded anything in a long time. Beds slept horrible, balcony door wouldn’t close. Air conditioning didn’t work. Floors left your feet black. Poor quality rooms.

Arrived at the hotel and was greeted by the time-share folks and when they found out I was just staying at the hotel, they told me to check in across from them. No employees were available to check me in... in the middle of the afternoon. Proceeded to wait 15-20 minutes before I even saw an employee while the time-share (Hilton Grand Vacations?) laughed and joked. Was fairly frustrating considering it was $500/night. Parking garage is not appropriate for anything more than a mid-sized sedan and i was not made aware of any off-site parking facility. Would have saved me some scrapes on my truck! DO NOT PARK YOUR TRUCK OR SUV ON-SITE! Very little interaction with the folks who worked there beyond check in. Steam room was not operational, sauna was great. Room was about a 7/10. Mattress was about 2/10 (very loud metallic sound with any motion). Thin walls, doors connected to adjoining rooms let lots of noise in. Incredible beachfront view. Based on the totality of the situation, I would not recommend staying here if you are spending more than $250 per night. I'm not sure that I would ever go back.

Hot tub was not clean, brown water with what looked like snots around it. Beds are hard and uncomfortable, my kids said the floor was softer. Resort smells like garbage. Rooms do not cool, we woke up in sweeting most nights room was more than 77degrees... we had the thermostat set at 68 and the balcony door closed. The room was filthy when we checked in. We cleaned the room and tried to make it work. Don't spend the money on this dump. Don't spend your vacation being threatened with your family. Lastly there was a lot of construction and a concert called beachit, the resort told me the day before and literally gave me no notice. Don't stay at this place they don't make it a vacation they make it torture.

Hotel was located in the area of the concert, which made it nice during the heat and rain. Wish the back doors were open to go out that way instead of going out front and all the way around to the side.

We have been owners since 1997. This was sold as a 3 or 4 star hotel. Over the years we have watched the hotel loose many of its amenities-first the restaurant, now the pool side snack and bar, hotel sponsored activities, literature on area attractions and restaurants. The hotel is showing its age- peeling paint, sticking doors, stained windows, worn carpet. We came with our entire family using our deeded room, an exchange for one room and rented the third room. Upon check in we were given a room with one double bed, not two as stated on our exchange contract. That room smelled of smoke. The entire hotel smelled of weed! We were moved the next day. Why was a resort fee charged? $15 for parking!

Our stay was ok. Although the second morning we discovered our coffee pot didn’t work. We left the room for one hour for coffee. They brought another coffee pot to our room, but helped themselves to my earrings on the TV stand. That set the mood for the rest of the week.

We got the tacos. They were ok. We tried all 4. The J*** Chicken and the Cuban beef. The Chorizo and the Pulled pork were good as well, but the 1st two were the best. Now, we will try the French fries.

The room was spacious & clean. The hallways & elevators were also extremely well maintained & clean. I didn't visit the pool area, but the boys were impressed. The staff was friendly, polite, & accommodating. I would stay here again in half a heartbeat!

Stayed at the Beach quarters thinking it was so great that there was a bar & grill on the 7th floor so I could eat good & stumble to my room... Wrong.... Off season closures not noted on site

Besides paying for a night in this hotel, I was told they would also be taking $200 “deposit “ and the refund would be posted back to my card upon check out. First of all, when booking this hotel I was NEVER informed of a $200 fee that would be collected upon arrival. I let it go because they had already charged my card for the one night stay AND I was told by the person who checked me in it would be refunded when I checked out. Check out time is 10:00-which I find to be a ridiculously early check out. After checking my account later in the day I called the resort and was told this “fee” could take up to 5-7 business days!!!! I wasn’t even at the hotel for 24 hours and they want to hold my money hostage for 5-7 days! I am a frequent visitor at Virginia Beach and I will never stay here again and if you value keeping YOUR money in YOUR pocket, I advise you to stay elsewhere!!

We decided to come here for lunch and we are so glad we did. The bartender and cook did an amazing job on food and service.
