The barista doesn’t know how to treat people; it’s possible I just caught her on a bad day, though. I was just trying to kill time with a dirty chai and a croissant before the market opened, but the atmosphere inside the cafe was off-putting enough to get me to skedaddle early. Tasty croissant and latte at least.

I ordered a drip coffee in a "for-here" mug. With tax, I was charged about $5 which felt a little high, but I figured it was due to refills, since they gave me a very small mug. I went back for a refill and they charged me two more dollars! I'm my tiny cup! And the coffee was not that great.

I enjoyed the cappuccino I ordered. The quiche was really good as well. The only critique would be that the staff seems super low energy every time I visit. It’s not the biggest deal in the world when the food and coffee is so good but the atmosphere could use a few energetic people.

Nice atmosphere but service was poor. I asked for an extra hot latte but it was colder than regular. Me and my wife shared a scone and it was not fresh. I asked barista to pour my latte and I paid for another drink, an americano, which was better. I was surprised that barista didn’t ask what was wrong with my latte.

This place is so good! I come here pretty consistently for the shakerato. I love the caramel and other home made syrups. They are unique and delish, and they sell them! Staff has always been friendly.
I found Roast Rider during my search for local coffee shops since I prefer them over mainstream coffee shops—and I definitely loved my first time in Roast Riders! Very nice atmosphere, the shop decor is perfect! Coffee was delicious and so was the sweet potato croissant! I will definitely be back each time we come back to Virginia!!!
