This was my first time dining at Ruth Chris. Mike was phenomenal with his service, very attentive and made my birthday dinner a wonderful experience. I really like the ambiance and atmosphere of the restaurant. The food was magnificent. Cooked to perfect and absolutely delicious. I will have to come back again in the near future. The entire experience was outstanding as a whole. The only small shortcoming was that I ordered my steak medium and it was medium well; there was barely any pink in the center. Our group was celebrating a 60th birthday and the experience was memorable for all the best reasons and attention to every detail. Our guest of honor and her husband had never been to a restaurant "this elegant", in her words. She ordered the ribeye and raved about the flavor. She was even impressed with the flavor of her asparagus and surprised at the small birthday decorations and cheesecake to finish. Thank You for a precious memory for friends of 40ish years. The reason for this review having only 3 stars for the food is because of the sides that my husband, and I had for my birthday dinner on February 2, 2024 (my actual birthday is February 1st). We had a table of 10 for my birthday, and the sides that we ordered was asparagus, and potatoes au gratin. The asparagus were really skinny, which I have never been served skinny pieces of asparagus ever, and some of the asparagus was short stalks, and not what I am used to seeing. The potatoes au gratin were big chunks of potatoes, which we've had this at Ruth's Chris several times, and they were never that chunky. My husband, and I eat here quite often because I love their filets. We definitely come her for my birthday every year, and even rented their private room 2 years ago for my milestone birthday, and we come here every year for our anniversary on March 31st as well as attending happy hour now, and then with friends. I always give Ruth's Chris 5 Stars but this time I couldn't because the sides left a lot to be desired. Malik was our server, and all 10 of us enjoyed his service as well as the young man that assisted him. Again, my filet was very yummy with the blue cheese crust but the sides left a lot to be desired!
Our server, Tori, was so warm and welcoming, and we enjoyed every moment of our visit. The main dining room was beautiful, and we all commented on it several times. The food items we ordered were served in good time and beautifully presented. Everything was delicious! It was our son's birthday as well as a send-off to a deployment in S. Korea with the US Army, and Tori served his dessert with a Happy Birthday written in chocolate on the platter, as well as scattering some birthday confetti on the table for a festive feel. All in all, we felt pampered and well cared for during this Ruth's Chris visit. It's been our go-to place for big events in our family's life and has been so for years. This was our first visit to the Virginia Beach location and it did not disappoint!

There’s not enough stars on Google reviews to give this place the credit it deserves. Pure satisfaction from start to finish. Impeccable service. Spectacular food. Best Salmon I’ve ever had. The lobster mac was incredible. I never thought I’d be impressed by mashed potatoes but they were so fluffy and flavorful. The goat cheese and artichoke dip was perfectly balanced with flavor. And the cocktail sauce for the jumbo shrimp cocktail was spot on. Completely blown away. Will be frequenting this establishment many times over.
The food is always really good. I just don’t like that they decreased the serving size of the sweet potato casserole. It is one of the best sides they have so it was a real disappointment to discover a smaller portion.

The dining experience is unmatched! Our server was awesome. The food was incredible. The timing impeccable. The only negative was a musty smell that hit us when we sat down. It stayed the entire time, so it was in the old carpet or walls.

The food was perfection. Perfectly cooked steaks, the french onion soup and veal osso bucco ravioli were delicious, the mashed potatoes and brussel sprouts were an excellent complement to the steaks. The waitstaff, from the hostess to the bus boy, and especially our server, Jeff, were all friendly, personable, professional, and attentive. The atmosphere is light and friendly, not stuffy at all. A perfect place to celebrate our anniversary.

Very good service, the group next to us were extremely loud. That was disappointing seeing that we spent over 200.00 for two people. We wanted an intimate setting to celebrate my husband's birthday.
