The vibe of the establishment is really nice and I had a great strawberry lemon drop however the Steak and eggs meal I ordered was dry and the menu stated the steak would be 12oz and they gave me 10 oz steak. The waitress was very sweet and tried to help but the owner told her it was a 12 oz so they could accommodate me however she advised me that the cook told her it was a 10 oz. My eggs also came out ten minutes after my steaks and potatoes. I really wanted to like the establishment but I hate that they didn’t rectify the issue.

Worst dining experience in my life. Firstly, our reservation was for 8:30 then they moved it to 9. Which ok it’s Saturday you’re busy it’s fine, until we weren’t even seated until almost 9:40 and there were MULTIPLE open tables the whole time. Then we didn’t get our food until 11. Food was decent. Overpriced and the wait brought it down. Went for a friend’s birthday and was completely let down by this place. Beware coming here and wasting your time and money. Never again.

Wish I could’ve tried it, as I was so elated to try a new black owned restaurant. Unfortunately, upon arrival at 4:00pm on Tuesday they were closed although the hours posted online on all of their platforms state 3pm-10pm. The least you all could do is ensure your hours are updated online.

The place has a nice ambiance but that’s about it. I went there to celebrate my 50th birthday and to have cocktails. Where do I start?? First I had to find my own waitress, next we waited 1 hour to eat and the place wasn’t even busy. The waitress with the red short hair was entertaining her homeboys and serving when she had time. The food comes out !! Horrible!!! Chicken grease old and burnt looking no flavor. Burnt grease fried lobster tail. Macaroni tasted wet with some Cajun seasoning to spruce it up, Mashed potatoes was cold, I could go on and on just know it was the worst birthday dinner ever needless to say you have to pay 18% gratuity on waitresses that don’t work on every order. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere you def get more bang for your buck?? thought his place was elegant shhhhhhhhhhh

I was expecting fancy dining however, it wasn't anything close to that. Tik Tok lead me to this place for my bday dinner. When I called to reserve, I ask if there would be any music. There was music, which I was cool with. But it was giving Hookah lounge vs the dining vibes. Again I'm cool with it, but I was expecting something different. I watched three different videos on the venue before I made my choice and they were very misleading.When got there were sat next to the kitchen, where the cooks didn't have on any head or beard coverings.My lamb chops were supposed to well done but they were burnt. SMH most of us sent the food back and or cancelled the order because of how long we were waiting.Also, serving soda in a can is crazy to me.I love to support my community but I can't subject mediocre food etc. Waiting two hours for food is absurd!!! I I pray things change for the better.Oh and please take down mural of that Drunken Monkey!!! I get the theme of "The Garden" buuuuut yeah, it was a HARD no for me! Maybe change the venue name to "hookah lounge"

Been here for two hours and haven’t eaten anything yet. We arrived at 7pm and here it is 9pm and they’ve only brought out one appetizer for someone in our party. The menu is extremely limited; both food and drink. The menu is also on paper. The staff seems to not be able to answer questions nor know anything about their food or drinks. Never again will I.

After searching for a place to have my birthday dinner I decided on a cute place I’d found via TikTok. The place looked nice and the food even better. I called them and reserved a Saturday night reservation (9 pm for 16 people). They set up the reservation for me and I told all my party the places for the evening.On Saturday night my party and I arrived at the restaurant to find a large party there. The employees informed us that the large party was over 45 minutes late for their reservation and this backed up the kitchen. The manager informed us that if we stayed it would take over an hour for us to receive food in addition to us not having a place a sit. Talk about aggravated!!! So it’s 9pm and The restaurant I made reservations for isn’t prepared for my party. No call to say they weren’t ready for us. No solution to our problem. Nothing!So at 9 pm on a Saturday I had to scramble to find a place to have dinner for my birthday thanks to the inconvenience The Garden put me and my party of 16 in after I made reservations and was on time to be seated.I’d recommend having a policy for large parties running late and stick to it so others in the future won’t run into this problem. I traveled all the way from Elizabeth City, NC to have dinner at The Garden to be disregarded.
