It’s a very warm friendly place and servers have become my friends in such a short time.I feels very safe as a single woman to spend couple of hours there have a glass of wine listen to incredible live music. Its a great place to go to if you are feeling lonely.

Exceptional! Definitely going back. The food was incredible, the drinks were amazing, the service was great and the ambience is the kind you typically have to travel to Granby St for. We were so excited to find a fine dinning spot in VB.

Haven’t been for a high tea here, as I only got to know only recently that they serve it, will be coming back to try it out I usually swing by the Raleigh Room when I either visit Becca or The Hunt Room, and there is one drink I always get here - the Ghost Cat - whoever created it - thank you ??

Tea was luke warm, service slow and food was ok, way too expensive for what was received- also did not like that a 20% gratuity was automatically charged to the bill. Will not go back.

Raleigh room tea service is a very beautiful setting however it is very slow service, unbelievably expensive for what it is, and just overall not worth it. We were the second table to be seated right at 1:00. We did not receive food or drinks for 30 minutes. We had 4 people, no alcohol, and the bill was almost $200 with tip. The food they bring you is tasty but there's very very little of it. I was overall incredibly disappointed in the value.

Afternoon Tea for my birthday! Had high expectations for this tea I was not impressed. We arrived early and had to wait to be seated. We asked if we could order anything to snack on or a drink and were told we had to wait until we were seated. We were also informed they don't serve food till 3pm. Once we were seated service was very slow we waited quite some time before the server came over. She explained the tea to us and brought us some water. Once she came back to pour our tea there was some issues with pouring she over poured and got quite a bit of tea in the glass. One of the glasses had to be dumped out and repoured. I honestly expected more from a high end restaurant. Not once did the server acknowledge the birthday. You could clearly tell that there was a birthday at our table there was a flower arrangement my friend gave me with a birthday balloon. People walking thru the restaurant said happy birthday. But not once did our server say anything. The tea was good. Some of the finger sandwiches were good. The desserts were okay. We were not too impressed with any of the offerings. I was looking forward to macrons but there none on our tier. There was some sort of chocolate cake that had white icing that was all dried out it was not visibly pleasing at all. The room is always decorated so beautifully! They had gorgeous flower arrangements! We have been several times and it always seems that the service is not up to par. I like the live music they offer I would consider going back for that! I probably would not go back for a tea! If I could recommend one thing please be more attentive to your guests. It was very annoying that they automatically add the gratuity and the serve didn't deserve 20%.

Tiny side table& Tiny Table we were seated at was not suited for anything other than placing a drink glass. Piano music, while lovely, was hard to compete with for conversation. We were seated next to the piano. My knees kept hitting the table since it was not open beneath the surface. Again inappropriate furniture to sit at. Service & food very good. Make it an option to sit in Becca or the tiny table filled Raleigh room. For $93 I think it's reasonable to assume you will have food & tea on a proper piece of furniture. I'm glad I wasn't sat on the long sofa & low coffee table were my back would have ached bending forward the whole time.

We were here on a Thursday evening which also happened to be Ladies Night. They had specials on champagne but I was drinking a glass of red wine so I can't be certain of the prices. The vibe is a super cool lounge/bar with wing back chairs, chaise lounges, black & white floor, portraits on the walls, a piano and large bar. There was live music by Ariana and they went excellent. Pretty awesome people watching, too. There were patrons of all types and ages so it seems like there was something for everyone.

I gave three stars because of Monica, Dylan, and the bartender at Becca, who actually made our visit better after a total FUBAR on the part of the hotel. I made Afternoon Tea reservations weeks ago ahead of a visit from my sister and niece. They had never attended an Afternoon Tea before, had come up from Georgia where they are currently stationed, before they transition to Korea for the next few years (which is why this was such a special occasion that was quickly and deeply disappointing). When my husbamd and I went previously, it was a phenomenal experience. We arrived 15 minutes prior to seating and they said they didn't have us with a reservation...so I presented my confirmation. The person I made my reservation through, after confirming with them multiple times, made our reservation for Becca instead of Afternoon Tea. I knew I should have called and confirmed for a fourth time, but I felt secure, especially with a confirmation. I was wrong. Monica at least tried to help us and sat us with a tea setting, but the director or manager essentially told us, because a head count is done the night before, there was no room or food for us and no other accommodations could be made..."but you do have reservations over at Becca so, you can just take those." But, we weren't there for Becca...we drove an hour to attend tea...but she came, said her peace, and we didn't see her again. Stay for Becca or leave was essentially what she offered us. We were hungry, disappointed, and unhappy, but we stayed. They did, however, give us tea with our lunch at Becca...but nothing else. Lunch was fine, but again, it was the bartender and Dylan who made the day much better. I don't know if or when we will be back...Im sure it isnt a great loss to them, but it was for us, a big loss.I host teas at home in a room I built specifically for it, so I absolutely made sure they enjoyed a traditional Afternoon Tea...I just wish the experience for us at at the Raleigh Room at the Cavalier had been what we expected amd were looking forward to.

Food was okay. Not outstanding but just okay. Atmosphere was decent, enjoyed the live piano as well but it was kind of chilly as it’s in a large room that feeds right into the main entrance.Arrived at 1pm for a 1:15 appt. We didn’t actually get the food until a little after 1:30pm.Prior to that they served tea which was the biggest upset. The tea was tepid. I asked several times for hotter water and they couldn’t deliver. I wasn’t the only one. The guests across from us had the same issue and I told them I didn’t think they could get the water any hotter. I don’t know what the reason was. That’s actually the main thing that kept the experience from being more enjoyable. After I added a bit of sugar and some milk the tea was well on its way to being cold.I’ve had better tea service overall. I also had the feeling that they were understaffed which is why service took so long.Waitress was perfectly fine. Great and pleasant attitude. The main issue was the just okay food and the lukewarm tea.

We had a fun time. The food was good and there were lots of teas to choose from. They must have been short on staff because we had difficulty with service at times, and our waitress wanted to give us our check and box our food when we had only been there for 30 minutes.

Overall, enjoyed the food and service from our server. Another employee, we later found out to be a server too (we initially thought they were in management because it seemed our server was running all the tables), was less than pleasant when we arrived and made us feel like we were not welcomed. Otherwise, the atmosphere was nice and actual manager was very pleasant and helpful when we brought our concerns to them.
