We’ll definitely share about this awesome business with our family & friends and look forward to visiting again soon! You can have them steam up the seafood you pick out from the case and take it with you to go too if you don’t have time to cook it up at home.The local fish & oysters were so fresh, it took me back to my childhood. I also loved the shrimp and scallops! I remember fishing in VA with my Dad and him shucking oysters for our family and getting fresh fish and seafood here brought back great memories of this area for me. This business also offers unique gifts including wine, bottled sauces, and beautiful ocean themed artwork for sale in their retail store.

I bought oysters here, but more than half of the oyster shells were open and I couldn't eat them. that was very disappointing

This was the third time I have been to this fish market. All three times the 50 count clam bag has had 49 clams. Today the bag of "fresh" clams were caught last week as per the tag (8/16) and 10 of the 49 were dead. Brought back the bag and the gentleman apologized and gave me a replacement untagged bag. Got home and most of the "middle neck clams" were closer to chowder size not to mention there was only 49 again. I am done.

FYI, I just left your place and had the unpleasant experience of dealing with a j*** name BOB!!! I think this is an opportunity to check in with this guy and remind him of a few things. He is in dyer need of customer service training. He may be unaware that customers pay his boss so he can get paid, so being rude and condescending is not an option. He also needs a reality check as to his position and know what it means to be resolution ready and not combative. He made false factual statements telling me my fish didnt smell rotten when he didn't sell me my fish. An easy resolution would be to have me bring the fish to confirm if it was good to consume. Instead he was combative and condescending basically calling me a LIAR! I just didn't want yo eat bad fish. He refused to give me any names of hire up over the phone. I drove all the way to your location to get the names in which he refused. Honestly this guy's ego is way to big to be selling fish and it seems he has a small gut complex. He also made reference to your Ukrainian workers saying they do not speak good enough English to talk yo me, which is not true, that's not cool to say. Bottom line he is a j****

LoL ?, it's fine and funny to say that I have purchased bushels of live crabs to steam cook my family and I, with guests, for about the last 4 years... and always greated and treated with welcoming service. The personel are fabulous and friendly. Great establishment.
This place is a complete disappointment. $75 for a platter that doesn’t have everything that says it comes with. There are no exceptions made with these people. They don’t have clams, I asked for more oyster instead. They said no it’s shrimp only. I asked for oysters on the half shell they said no we only do them steamed. I’m sorry who’s paying the $75 to eat this meal? Them or me. I do believe it’s me. Should I get was I’m asking for. Or am I asking too much. This makes no sense. The oysters are dry as hell. Just look at the picture. I doesn’t even wanna eat this. Even worse I had to seek out the manager myself.

This is our go to place for fresh Norwegian salmon. Their salmon is super fresh and amazing. They have other items like affordable-ish white fish and other options like premarinated fish.

Never in my entire life, even visiting many parts of the world have I ever tasted fresher and delicious oysters! I came here because I saw they sometimes carried Scottish Salmon, got what I was looking and a few things extra. Staff told me they had a restaurant downstairs and I ordered my oysters since I was in a hurry......SOOOO GOOD!

I frequent this establishment a lot. Over 20 years to include Bubbas. However today I had a disappointing experience. The owners son-in-law was working at the register, I requested and purchased a dozen oysters. As I was choosing the fresh oysters, from the bad, said man told me I was not allowed to choose the oysters "they come as they are". He rushed me through the process. I was not able to see the transaction. Once I arrived home I realized I only had eight oysters, (4 short of a dozen). Not only was I shorted on my order, he was very rude and disrespectful. My last time buying from this place. There are plenty more fishermen to purchase from in Virginia Beach. Check out the corner of Virginia Beach Blvd and Great neck on the weekends. Fishermen selling direct from the Eastern Shore. There is also a group on shore drive selling Oysters direct.
