Group of us had the opportunity to charter a boat for a full day off shore fishing trip. Unfortunately the first boat we had lined up and booked with had mechanical issue a few days prior and couldn't take us out. Thankfully the boat captain was kind enough to find us another boat/crew that was willing to take us out on such short notice for a holiday weekend. We had a absolute blast out in the ocean with some great catches. Everyone we had dealings with from original boat captain to the crew that took us out to the fish cleaning station were great to work with! Totally worth every dollar spent and would definitely return.

Let's face it, using squid for bait cut in 1/4" x 1/4" squares limits your fishing to very small fish. My son and I caught around forty fish and none being keepers. The boat hands were ok, the old guy was grumpy until he came around with the tip jar. Overall I spent time with my son and had a nice boat ride . My advice bring bait and a spinning reel.

Never write reviews, but seeing Mr. Hiles' review, I couldn't let it pass. I fish regularly on a head boat, out of Rudee Inlet, and for the same fish, at a fraction of the price that Mr. Hiles will charge you. The head boats that he is attempting to slight, are all Coast Guard inspected, it's posted on the wall, and will get you back to the dock safe. Mr. Hiles' however, has had multiple occasions where he has been stranded or involved in a suspicious incident. Ashley and Mike are amazing fish cleaners who took over where others failed. They are professional and can clean any size fish from any boat. Mr. Hiles is only trying to drum business for his faultering business, and draw attention away from his current legal woes. Please ignore him.

VBFC is great! We have used them several times to clean our catch. It nice to be able to come back off a day offshore, turn over our fish, sit back drink a bear, and let them do a great job of cleaning our catch. keep up the great work! We will continue to use your awesome services.

The rudest people in fish cleaning. Pay 95 for a rudee inlet fishing trip and these people cant keep up so they turned us away. Definitely has changed since 2010 when I was stationed here in the navy.

Even though the marina where they work is run by liberals who would rather sell you a "nature watch" or take you to catch 5 inch long trash fish than a real fishing trip, Mike and Ashley are the best. Spend the money on a charter boat, not a head boat, and save a little for when you get back to get your catch cleaned by these professionals.

With Rudee Tours you get your moneys worth. Nice boats, great people. Mates are friendly and you will come back with fish.

The Captain and mate of the Top Notch were outstanding and the boat was awesome. Fifteen minutes after we dropped bait in the water we had four tuna on. The Captain had us on fish the whole time and the mate controlled the chaos on the deck during several simultaneous hook ups. The boat was perfectly set up, ac cranking inside, plenty of seating on the bridge, back deck and bridge. I highly recommmend taking the Top Notch out for a day of tuna fishing.

This was the highlight of our trip to Virginia Beach. My husband and I went out on the Rudee Mariner from about 8am-12:30pm. The captain took us to many popular fishing spots and together we caught over 30 fish. Hubby had a great time and won the contest for biggest fish. A few people on the boat caught sharks, that was cool. There was a guy named Kyle on the boat working with the captain, Kyle helped everybody with their poles and answered any question we had. The bait & poles were provided and there were concessions for sale if you got hungry. We had a great time and can't wait to bring our kids with us next time we go.

Went on a half day charter on the wave runner 2. Poor experience. Sat the whole time on a buoy and caught a few spade fish which we wanted to keep . We tipped the very young mate 20 percent and he did not even clean the fish. He brought them over to the "cleaning shack" where they were cleaning tuna and told us we would have a two hour wait. We were from out it town so we left the fish and were disappointed with the overall experience

We chartered the "Top Notch" boat with Captain Russ Kostinas for a 5 hour fishing charter. The captain neglected to advise us that the weather was likely to stay bad and the seas were horrible. He returned us to the dock after only 1 hour and no fish and only offered us $200 of the $895.50 fee back! I would avoid this boat and captain - ask for someone else! Also look at the marine forecast yourself before chartering.
