Everyone was super friendly and our waitress was very attentive. We recommend the burger, and ham board! The iced tea was perfect too! We ate out at a picnic table and enjoyed the quiet beautiful sunny day!

The food is wonderful and a little interesting. The service is second to none. The only thing I did not like is they automatically added the gratuity onto the bill, regardless of the number of people in the party.

24 dollars for a burger and fries, ouch. This is because you can't get just a burger, it comes with cheese and bacon. Don't want all those calories, no problem, but the burger is still 20. Add the 20% service fee and you end up at 24. Just raise your prices 20% and be done with it. Beer is expensive too, they sell a "small" which is 6oz. for between 3.50 and 4.50, and a "full" for 7 to 9 dollars, but the menu does not say how many ounces it is. Looked like between 10 and 12 to me. Why give the size for the "small" and not the "full"? The menu seems to have shrunk, except for the whiskeys:). The meatball appetizer was great. Service was very good!

Excellent food and service as always. We have never had a bad meal here, so thought it time to share. The raw oysters and the fried oyster toast were amazing. The Bibb lettuce with pickled asparagus, strawberries and goat cheese salad is 10/10. Their house burger didn't disappoint either. All the cocktails were excellent. Our server Bryan was friendly and did a great job as well, had perfect timing.

Nothing on their brunch menu stood out to me as exceptional, and the bench seating options are all really uncomfortable. The service was fine, no problems there, but Amber Ox is a trendy place, and not a new local mainstay or a fun vacation spot. It's a pass.

Sit at the bar, ask for Scott. Total command of the food and everything else. A bartender’s bartender.

Nice restaurant with some unique cocktails. The service was very polite and welcoming. The atmosphere is quiet so you do not need to talk over music.

Farm to table at its finest! I had a wonderful brunch here. We didn't have reservations, but fortunately, they were able to accommodate us without a wait. I had chosen this restaurant on the basis of their "biscuit board," because that sounds incredible on just the premise alone. The server was quick and explained the premise of the restaurant. They source ingredients from farms all over the area. Everything they serve is fresh and seasonal. Also, they automatically include 20% gratuity to ensure a livable wage for staff. I can definitely get behind both their food sourcing and staff treatment practices! The interior was clean and modern, with floral and farm-inspired decor. They pulled this off in a very elegant and subtle way though. Also, the space was filled with local college students, which was a refreshing break from the tourist crowds we had been part of all weekend. To drink, I had a lovely coffee. For my meal, I went with the biscuit board. There was freshly churned butter, ricotta, a lovely jam, and some of the best apple butter I've ever had. I also went with the cheese grits to supplement my meal. They were bursting with flavor and were definitely the right choice! Stopping here was definitely a great choice and was a highlight of our trip. Overall, I would strongly recommend visiting Amber Ox. Our brunch was fantastic and I'm sure lunch/dinner are equally amazing!

This place was fantastic. My wife and I dined here on a Sunday morning before leaving Williamsburg. We were greeted immediately and asked if we had reservations. I would imagine this would be a good option if you're thinking of dining here as it gets busy fast. We were seated within minutes and our waiter was quick to bring us water. This is a farm to table restaurant where they source from a local farm as well as their own. We had to try the biscuit board and we were not disappointed. This included 5 beautiful flakey biscuits with their freshly made salted butter, fresh apple butter, a beautiful fresh preserve, and a honey ricotta spread with bee pollen. Man alive was this ever delicious! I ordered the Tres Leches french toast with what they called a side of bacon. This "bacon" was fresh from their very own farm. I use quotations because this was not bacon but absolutely beautiful pork belly. Very thick cut, packed full of flavor, and cooked to perfection. The Tres Leches french toast was so decadent. Beautiful bread , freshly made I'm sure, wonderfully moist, packed full of flavor, and wonderfully seasoned and cooked diced apples on top along with their fresh butter. I did have to ask for a to-go container due to the sheer quantity of food. They do have patio seating available and a beautiful dining room complete with a bar. I was eyeing everyone's food around me and absolutely no one looked disappointed. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about the food being served. 10 out of 10!!! Do yourself a favor and be sure to check this business out whenever you're in Williamsburg.

Gastropub with a dining area, a bar area, and outdoor seating as well. I came here for brunch with my GF, and I got the shrimp & grits while she opted for the shukshuka. The shrimp & grits was very tasty, but the shrimp was a little undercooked. One piece was even fully translucent (I didn't eat this one)! The shukshuka was great. Menu has a slight southern influence. Took a while for our food to come out Very friendly servers
