I love this place. I do. But my god, they cycle through slack-jawed teenage dimwits faster than any fast food place I've ever seen. It's fortunate that much of the job is scooping ice cream, because if they had to make decisions about how much heat and how long to apply it, they'd burn the place down in the opening 20 minutes.e.g. You don't get a lid on your ice cream at the drive-thru unless you ask for it. Like think about that. You're in your car, visibly alone, and they want to hand you a giant heaping bowl of ice cream already dripping down the sides, with no lid. Now imagine you ordered something for your people at home, for whom they will hand you 2, 3, 10, however many you want, all uncovered, like instead of your grandpa's outmoded car with cup holders you're riding around in some kind of elite clown car stocked with a dozen ice cream crevices and your own hose to rinse away the gooey mess.Try ordering a sundae without a 20 questions about how you want it done. I dunno, how about the way it's described on the freaking sign? Like when I go to McDonalds and order a burger, they don't ask "do you want ketchup? mustard? pickle? cheese? rare, well done or regular?" Sphinxes don't ask as many questions as these folks. I was interrogated less when I applied for a passport.The end result, once you coach them to it, is generally very satisfying. I only wonder if they could do something to train and retain staff (and/or reexamine some extremely basic customer service practices) to make the daunting task of transferring your ice cream from a bucket into a [lidded] bowl less excruciating.

Our PTA held a Spirit Night at this Bruster's in late September, and it was amazing. All of our families had a wonderful time, the teachers enjoyed getting to scoop & serve, and the employees were out of this world. Each employee was kind, helpful, and full of smiles. We so appreciate the atmosphere that was created for our Matthew Whaley community to come together, and kickoff a new school year. Plus - you can never go wrong with Bruster's Real Ice Cream!

This Bruster's is phenomenal. The ice cream is always fresh. If you don't like the cream you got, they will let you get something else without charge. They can be slow at times, but the people that work there are really nice. They have a drive thru which is so nice when it's rainy or cold.There are plenty of outside benches and tables to sit at.

Saturday evening around 8 pm. 5 employees working, service was spotty and erratic. Missing one of the five items, we had to inquire as to why. They ran out- thanks for telling us, after everyone had finished (except one.) Poor management this evening, but the ice cream was excellent as usual.

Always enjoy their milkshakes. Living so close to them has been dangerous! They are a little pricey but absolutely worth it.

Excellent icecream selections that change almost daily. Regretfully the new flavors often sell out too quickly. Icecream is high quality and delicious. Attracts good crowds in the summer and I like their hours that expand in summer. Has cones, sundaes etc. but we prefer to buy handpicked cartons to take home and order online to avoid standing in line on popular evenings. Word of caution, staff don't always keep the online flavors up to date so be prepared for a second choice - more frequent in the summer. But the young staff are always pleasant, hard working and deserve a tip.

This has been our go to spot for ice cream, not for the service but for solely ICE CREAM. We have tried many establishments in the area and Bruster's really beats them all for its taste HOWEVER their customer service/efficiency needs massive improvement. The students who work there are soooo slow. Not once we had to wait less than 25 minutes in the line. No one is efficient and fast. They're like a lunch of sloths! Not sure if they haven't received adequate training or if they're told to take their time but I see my kids and many other kids getting pretty impatient for waiting that long! Please work on your efficiency so we can make more visits and leave bigger tips!

The best semi soft serve ice cream ever! If b.c. you like Chocolate the Hersheys Special Dark is a must but rarely, if ever seen.I need to update as of July 2023.......the best ice cream mixture ever is available as a feature flavor right now. Peanut Butter Explosion.....Dark Chocolate I e cream with Reeses Peanut Butter Cup pieces mixed throughout! I used to really e joy the Buckeye Ice cream but always thought the. Hicolate Ice cream wasn't Chocolatey enough......problem solved. I sincerely hope this Ice Cream flavor is in serious rotation at Brusters be use it cannot be topped!
