The food was good and came out very timely. Waitress was not very attentive but made up for it with the suggestion of the Carmel drizzled pretzel. It was so good.

My husband and I will not go back to Craft 31 again. We have had good meals there in the past, but tonight was not that great. I got the fish and chips and made sure there was tartar sauce or what I thought was tartar sauce. It was really watery and tasted like it had a lot of vinegar and not much else. I wish they had left the Old Bay off of the fish and fries. My husband got the smoked BBQ platter, the wings were just barely Ok and the Carolina BBQ sauce was again watery and tasted like vinegar. The brisket on his plate was chewy. The service was off and we were asked by someone other than our server at one point if we needed anything because we were just left sitting there waiting for somebody to help us.

Make a reservation if you are going on a Saturday evening. We went in without a reservation so we sat at the bar rather than wait 45 minutes. Our next door neighbor said they have great burgers and she was right. They were tasty! Definitely a cool little spot off the beaten path.

I've eaten here twice and twice they had to comp my food. The first time I got tots and they tasted freezer burned.The place has a lot of potential and I decided to give it another try. Bad idea. My fiance got fish and chips that came with soggy, clumped together fries. This wouldn't be so bad if they weren't the battered fries that are usually notoriously crispy. And then my crabcakes were literally black on the bottom and I had to send them back. The manager did apologize and comped the food as I mentioned, which I appreciated. However, the final straw for me were the flies that were visiting us during our entire meal.

We were there to celebrate family April birthdays with cousins. The food took over a hour to be served and the sides were all mixed up. We ended up passing around the sides to the right person. We had 3 items that were to have Carolina BBQ sauce on them and there was no sauce. My husband, son and myself were 1st time guests, our cousins had been there to eat before. The food was good but things were just not right. Since we live in Newport News, I don't forsee us coming back unless we come with our cousins who do live in Williamsburg.

It is really hard to give a restaurant who's food was actually decent a 2 star rating. We (my wife, 2 year old daughter, and myself) were first time customers traveling through the area for lunch. The inside was clean and looked inviting. We were told that there was a 30 minute wait, which we said was no problem! We were seated within that time frame, and the host asked if we needed a high chair, to which we said yes. He placed the crayons down on the table and didn't come back. After 10 minutes I went to find him and he said he had forgotten. No big deal. Our waitress came and we placed an appetizer and drink order while we excitedly looked at the menu. She returned with the margarita flight for my wife who was very happy with it. We placed our order for 2 burgers, the lone star and the bleu cheese burger and upgraded our sides to the truffle fries. We also ordered the kids Mac and cheese. 20 or so minutes passed and a different waitress brought out our appetizer. On one plate. We asked for some plates so we could divide it up and share. She never came back. After another 10 minutes, my wife found the original host and asked if he could get us some plates. Then our original waitress came to our table and said "oh, good, I was looking for your appetizer." Almost 1 hour and 20 minutes after we placed our order for food, as I was getting up to cancel our order, the food came around the corner. We were never updated on why the food was taking so long. As we had plans and now could no longer sit and enjoy the meal, I asked for boxes and the check. She just said sure and left. While we waited, we wanted to try and let our 2 year old daughter get a little of her Mac and cheese before we left. I am lucky I took a bite first because it was boiling hot. I had to spit it out. When we stirred it, steam rose like a chimney. The waitress returned. I paid and told her I was unhappy about the wait and not being able to enjoy the food. She just said "yeah, sorry, sometimes they get backed up on Sundays." The margarita and appetizer were delicious. The reheated food 6 hours later was okay, but I imagine would have been extremely good fresh. I didn't even get to take a picture of the burgers because we were rushing out the door. We spent over2 hours and $85 for a lunch experience we didn't even get to enjoy. So disappointed.

This place is a must go to. The food is amazing and the beer is great. What sets this place apart is the super pleasant staff. Everyone here has a huge smile on and is super happy to serve. The food was great. Pizza is thin crust and made with fresh ingredients.
