Have heard very good things about Duck Doughnuts, even about the original in Duck, NC. Stopped in to give them a try. At first, I was a little overwhelmed by the number of different Doughnuts they had. I asked what they had made, and the young lady said, them all,"We make to order. " That was a bit surprising. For my first time ordering from here I’m very pleased to say these donuts are absolutely amazing. I like the fact you can pick your own toppings. I’ve found a favorite though lemon icing topped with graham cracker drizzled with vanilla icing. Tastes just like a lemon cookie. Outside of the donuts being cooked fresh to order they’re soft not too sweet. Now I like bacon but for some reason the bacon completely over powered the donut.
