The food was very good and the service was nice. Be prepared to spend money but that's how it is in any tourist attraction.

Rude. Slow. And no atmosphere.Wasted and hour and a half here. I would recommend Christiana Campbell instead. Or the Raleigh Bakery if your needing something quick.

If you are visiting Colonial Williamsburg, this is a one-of-a-kind must try restaurant! The food was so good, we ate here a second time. The Welsh rarebit was delicious enough to get twice! I wasnt fond of the onion pie. We got the snow eggs and peanut butter pie for dessert and both were tasty, but if your looking to try something new, go for the snow eggs! Will definitely eat here again next time I'm in town!

Fun atmosphere, but small portions and incredibly overpriced. Paid about $24/each for all of us and most felt like we could have eaten another whole meal after it. Would not recommend for families.

Fabulous experience and food! From the Sally Lunn bread to the peanut soupe to the pork and polenta and finally the snow eggs…My meal was absolutely delicious! The peanut soupe was a unique dish to try. While I don’t normal order pork for dinner, I’m so glad our server recommended the pork and polenta. It was amazing! The snow eggs are also a unique dessert you don’t see too often on a menu. They are sweet but on the lighter side when it comes to desserts.

Great food. We needed a break and a meal. King's Arms Tavern didn't disappoint. Friendly staff, good food, great drinks, and LIVE music played for you. Try the punch bowls, if you can.Our server's name was Paula, and she was wonderful. (Hey, hey Paula!)Kid-friendliness: They did not mind, they even appreciated our son being there and involved him in the humor and experience.

Weve been voming here since 1966. Prices are too high, keep going up. Again this goes back to the new president of Colonial Williamsburg; all about making money.Parking: USED TO BE FREE. THE GREED HAS HIT!Kid-friendliness: Yes but not as a fun place, a learning place. My grands love to dress in Colonial garb and eat in one of the historic restaurantsWheelchair accessibility: Enter through rear

I absolutely adore this place. Not only is the food excellent but the decorations take you back to a genteel time and where a fiddler will sing you tales of old.

My husband and I visited Williamsburg 50 years ago and ate at the King’s Arms Tavern. It was a memorable experience for us then so we HAD to eat dinner there on this trip 50 years later. Tonight was better than we remembered! We were welcomed in the most gracious manner by our waiter, George, who explained the drink and dining menus. We shared the King’s Arms Punch Bowl to start our dining experience. It was exceptional, and yes we finished the whole punch bowl. Note the photo of George serving us our first glasses. For dinner, my husband had the squash soup, stewed black eye peas, game pie with steamed asparagus, and bread pudding. I had the peanut soup, stewed choat (pork shank) served over corn polenta with steamed asparagus, and Snow Eggs (sweet meringue served over custard with strawberries). Everything was incredibly delicious so we had to sample each other’s food choices. At the end of the meal, it would have been difficult for us to pick a favorite item. Everything was unique and so yummy!During the dining experience which was in a cozy candlelit room of four tables (There are many of these rooms each with their own waiters.), our dining groups were treated to stories of 18th century dining habits by George. He balanced this task while expertly serving and seeing to each guest’s needs. There was also a musician who moved from dining room to dining room playing period music. The entire dining experience was magical as we were temporarily transported into Colonial America. We highly recommend King’s Arms Tavern and George for an amazing dining experience when you are visiting in Colonial Williamsburg.Enjoy our photos from this evening.

Food is average. Peanut soup was ok but definitely not as good as in the past. No more filets but a NY strip which should not be confused with a really top steak but more what is served at Applebees. Years ago Kings Arms was a wonderful experience now it is a restaurant with some charm serving very average dishes at high prices.

Our server Martin was attentive and hustled between kitchen and 2nd floor dining room to give great service. He gave history of the meals, drinks and even how to wear your napkin like a Colonist. Food was delicious and drinks were nice, too. The music was an unexpected treat. Wonderful, authentic experience.
