Came here on a whim with a group of friends. We were immediately greeted by a staff member and the owner. The owner was so sweet! The chips and salsa were good and everyone loved their dishes. Our friends got the veg burritos, pollo con Queso, tacos, and I got the paella mexicana. Everything was super flavorful, fresh, and delicious. When we left the owner was talking to us about where we were from and inviting us back. He was the best!

The food and drinks were quite good, and we would definitely go back except that the service was quite shady. First, when we went to pay, the server told us the internet was out and we needed to pay cash (or they would need to take a picture of our credit card and "process in the back"). This would have been nice to know in advance. Not having cash, I had to walk across the street to 7-11 to get cash. The bill was just over $61, so the server came back with a $20 and said they did not have any change. I asked him to go back and see if they could get change, because I was not going to leave a $20 tip! Somehow he managed to find a $10 and two $5 bills. Then, when we got home I commented to my spouse that the bill seemed high, so I went online to check prices. Unfortunately I did not keep a copy of the receipts, but I recall that we were billed $16.99 for the Giant Fajita Quesadilla, and the menu lists it for $14.99. So, with all of these aspects of service I do not think we will go back.

We have ordered from here multiple times and always found the service and food to be excellent. My husband has posted reviews, however we ordered last night and will not be ordering again. When my husband returned from collecting our order we were missing one meal and the tortillas for the fajitas. We called and they told us to come pick them up, with a half apology. The food was not the same quality it usually is. I always order the pineapple fajitas, usually they are amazing, not this time, not one piece of pineapple at all!Rice was really hard and specific requests had been ignored - like no beans. All in all it appears customer satisfaction is no longer important here.

It was probably the worse food I have had , the beans tasted spoiled , the rice was hard , like uncle bens bagged rice & the meat had a sour tasteAnd it was so hard I could barely chew it , plus they didnt even send the correct order , all thumbs down from me. Will def be sticking with Maria Bonita

I was disappointed in my lunch today. I expected shredded beef in my enchilada- it was beef very finely ground and no flavor. I ordered whole beans - got frijoles with no flavor. I suggest: shredded beef, frijoles mashed with lard or bacon grease. I also suggest the handicap parking space be reserved for the handicapped. I will return again

Used to love this place but something has changed , must be a new chef. The meat in my taco tasted like it was boiled, was terrible, no flavor. I get the El Pastor and it is usually delicious.. very disappointing. Service was very slow and there we only two people in there, too 19 min just to get my drink.

We stopped here for a late lunch. The service was quick, the food was delicious, and the portions larger than expected. We sat on the patio outside and listened to lively music. There was also air conditioned dining room seating inside.

Hands down the best Mexican restaurant in Williamsburg! Great food and amazing margaritas…you will not be disappointed! Salsa and guac is the best we’ve ever had! We had a party of 12 and they were very accommodating and patient with us, waitress was awesome

When my wife and I were house hunting in Jamestown we tried La Casona and fell in love with it. We were so excited to have a good Mexican place close to our home. Over the course the past year and a half our experience each time has gotten worst. I keep wanting to give them another chance, but I feel my part is done in the matter. Service has gotten incredibly slow, to the point where you need to plan for at least 2 hours for your meal. The meal doesn't arrive for an hour after ordering. No one can decide what tables are in their zone to serve. I hope they can get it together.

The food is good, but the service is really bad. We live nearby and we were hoping to make this a regular spot but every time we’ve ordered there has been an issue with it. This last time I ordered takeout. When I tried to pick it up the lady said I never ordered and offered to put the order in now but that it would take 20 more minutes.

What a gem! Had a wonderful lunch here while vacationing in Williamsburg. The salsa was fantastic, probably the best salsa I’ve had in a restaurant in 20 years. My wife had the Chile Rellenos and loved them, they were perfectly cooked and flavorful. I enjoyed the Burrito Jalisco with chicken. I didn’t know what to expect with the pink chorizo sauce but found it to be a delicious compliment to the burrito. I highly recommend this place for a reasonable and authentic Mexican meal.
