From ambiance & wafting aromas when you first walk in to receiving your meal everything is great. Quick & attentive service & friendly and calm environment with intimate dim lighting and inviting decor. My favorite dish is the curry goat (spice level 3 is perfect for me- I love hot dishes) plus garlic naan bread. Pear + honey ice cream dessert is delicious and unique! Definitely suggest to all, less busy throughout the week & busier on the weekends, delicious either days.

A friend and I went to Amiraj based on a recommendation and the food did not disappoint! I have been to many Indian restaurants across the US and Amiraj's food was top 10 Indian food I've ever had at a restaurant. I would give Amiraj 4.5 stars as the service could have been improved (see below), but the food makes Amiraj worth five stars. My friend and I recently went to Amiraj for an early weekend dinner and were seated immediately. Despite the restaurant being mostly empty, our food (other than an appetizer) took 35 minutes to arrive from the time we ordered it due to many takeout orders that needed to be filled. While our server did not let us know about the delay until after our food came out, our server unprompted apologized to us and gave us a complementary gulab jamun for dessert. I appreciated that Amiraj acknowledged that they made a mistake and did right by us unprompted-it is a sign of a great restaurant. My friend and I shared the Chili Garlic Naan and the Rosemary Blue Cheese Kulchas and I got the Lamb Kozhambu at the five level spice. All the food was fantastic-the naan was warm, garlicky, and had a slight kick, while the kulcha was stuffed with the perfect amount of cheese. My Lamb Kozhambu was exactly the level of spice I was looking for (very hot-be careful if you don't have a high spice tolerance)! The lamb was tender, there was a good amount of lamb in the dish, the spices and flavors came through, and Amiraj provided plenty of complementary, well-cooked rice. The gulab jamun was delicious, and I liked that it was not too sweet and that the pistachio flavor came through. I would highly recommend Amiraj for a meal if you are in Williamsburg!

One of the most inspiring and aspiring Indian Cuisine restaurants I have ever been to. Everything sits perfectly. The quality of the food, the timeliness of service, the broad range of drink selections made it all perfect for an amazing dinner night out. I’m more than impressed, well

My wife and I had lunch at Amiraj today and the meal was fantastic! Shivani was such a friendly host. She had us try their yogurt and mango drink and it was incredible (sorry, I can’t remember the name of it) The restaurant is very clean and has a welcoming atmosphere. We will definitely go back with the family for dinner soon ???

Hidden gem! The food was outstanding. We were feeling more adventurous than normal and ordered the beet and corn soup as recommended by the waitress and it did not disappoint. It was warm and flavorful. We also ordered a crab meat dish that was so full of fresh lumps of crab and our favorite Indian sauce. Nice variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. We will be back!

Our first visit. We had the restaurant week 3 course menu for the two of us. Everything was excellent, shrimp and soup appetizers, salmon and curry entrees, and the apple dessert. Outstanding wine and beer selection. Fantastic service. And the manager gave us an absolutely delicious mango smoothie to go! We will definitely be back.

Love this local Indian cuisine and the food and service is the best we’ve ever experienced. Never a single disappointment time here and there will never be as we’ve been going to Amiraj since they opened a couple years ago! We like it over Masala Craft. The samosas are always served hot at Amiraj along with every dish is all I would like to say is the main difference.. looking forward to going there again this week for sure!!Vegetarian options: Love their goan curryParking: More than enough in a huge shared lot

We ordered a bhindi (okra) dish and the bhindi was not cooked in the right way. Then when I ordered vegetable korma, there was barely any spice. If you're looking for authentic Indian flavors, I would not recommend this place. The food is okay if you're just looking for something to eat. I lived in India for 2 years, so I know. Also my boyfriend was born and raised in India and therefore we both have credibility for reviewing Indian food.

I love good Indian restaurants. Amiraj is top notch. I frequent here and Masala often. They are both delicious and service is impeccable at both. At Amiraj I get the Tandoori Chicken and the mint chutney.
