Smells like an old mop head. Saw the fire tables in the outdoor seating and wanted to sit there. We were told no, only parties of 6 or more. All of the fire tables remained lonely throughout our dining experience.

Paul's has been a staple before the 60's. George the owner he worked his way through dishwasher to now owner. He owes 4 other restaurants in William and Mary area and according to the staff each of his restaurants, they each have a different ambiance and caters to different crowds. All their restaurants include all fresh ingredients. And when I went to Paul's you could taste the real ingredients and the staff was friendly and consistently checking on their guests. They had a wide range of foods, sandwiches, pizza, Greek food, burgers. I also got to sit in the outdoor patio which was heated!Today for lunch I tried their chicken shawarma and carrot cakeParking: You can park on either side streets of the restaurant

Went to lunch with my parents the other day…asked if we could have a low top with chairs and they kindly sat us where we needed (my dad has bad knees, so he needs to get up and down easily).The young man who took care of us was attentive, friendly, and was very accommodating…he got us everything we needed to enjoy our meal and checked on us every time he walked past.The food was good; exactly what we expected…everything tasted good, was well executed, and the portions were great!Dad got the godfather Philly, and my mom and I shared the fish and chips special and the prime rib sandwich special.As for the ambience; felt a little dark, outdated, strangely mismatched chairs, and dingy bathrooms (makes it feel a little dirty IMO)…sooooo much seating, so they can do a ton of business…We would eat here again for a quick bite.
