There is no better place to stay when visiting Williamsburg! The remarkable staff here make you feel pampered and most welcome. Whenever there are issues that normally arise with an older hotel like this one, they are addressed expertly. The amenities are wonderful and the rooms are extremely clean.

Greeted by friendly efficient valet on arrival. Golf staff indifferent. Course (Golden Horseshoe) is interesting and difficult. Spacious room with working fireplace and large bath. Good spa service but no courtesy use of hot tub for spouse. Attentive food service at dinner but sub par food.Overall decent value

Excellent one-night stay. Staff was very friendly, and rooms were clean, nicely decorated, and bright. Gym is well equipped and spacious. There was only one electric car charging station, but it was unoccupied and worked well.

What an amazing place! We loved our stay in this wonderful place! The amenities were wonderful! The turndown service, the nightcap in your room, slippers by your bed, filled ice bucket and water bottles were just awesome! The staff was great, from valets, to front desk clerks , to waitstaff ….everyone was very efficient and very friendly! We had a large lovely room with 2queen beds, seating, and a wonderful shower and tub! The best hotel experience we have ever had!

After having such an amazing experience at their Christmas tea in December we decided to book their Valentines Day tea. It was less than enjoyable. Our server was not friendly at all. She explained nothing. She kept referring us back to the menu "in front of us". Thankfully we had been to tea parties before so we knew the process but id feel sorry for someone who had not. My mom asked a question about the bakery they had open during Christmas and she was so snippy and rude. After that we tried to avoid her. I will note that earlier that morning I had some childcare issues and when I called they were so nice to accomodate my 12 year old as an extra person. I knew he wouldnt eat much of what was being served as he is picky about sauces but he was excited to just be with his mom. Mid way through I asked the server if he could have another glass of cider, which she replied, "its a charge". OK, fine, not a big deal at all but I was a little floored by her response as I was paying $75+ for my 12 year old to literally eat half the chocolate tarte, drink a half of cup of tea and drink his one included glass of cider. When we were leaving, we asked for boxes since we had my sons entire tower to pack up plus some other things but she only brought us 2 boxes. So we had to ask for another one. She seemed annoyed that she had to work. Trust me, we were ready to leave too. My suggestion would be to maybe put together a different menu for kids. We have been to tea partys where kids were served lemonade in their tea pot, fruit skewer, little finger sandwiches that were more their thing (pb&j, ham & cheese), cheese slices and cucumbers that were cut into shapes. Also invest in training but also not to hire just anyone. You cant train someone to be friendly.

Outstanding experience at the Inn. The staff was very professional and helpful. The Inn is conveniently located to the historic part of Williamsburg. The staff provided us a ride to our restaurant and then picked us up after dinner.

I surprised my Honey with a New Year Eve stay and celebration at the Williamsburg Inn. This Hotel is absolutely stunning in it's decor, furnishings and upkeep. All the staff we interacted with were friendly, helpful and numerous; providing impeccable service. The room we stayed in was plush, large, quiet, clean and comfortable. Everything you could possibly need was supplied. Our room had a fireplace but the unusually warm weather prevented us using. Our stay was outstanding. Most hotels we have stayed at lately seemed to have decreased their staffing and service. Not here at the Williamsburg Inn. Class act. We brought in 2023 in Style! Thanks to the entire staff!

A meticulously maintained property in the heart of Williamsburg. Gorgeous rooms and bathrooms, helpful and friendly staff, and thoughtful upscale amenities. The hotel restaurant, The Terrace Room, serves delicious cuisine in a quiet, romantic ambience. All this, and they accept dogs! We will recommend this hotel to our family and friends and hope to stay there again when we visit Virginia.

What the h%}£ happened here? What brain trust came up with the idea to shut down the Regency Room?! We were here October 2016 for an excellent meal, with excellent service, in a unique and elegant atmosphere. Now they tell me they don't serve meals in that room any more and it is just for catering. You know what? They don't serve anyone in any of those rooms anymore, at least not the evening I was there around 6:30pm on a Thursday night. NOBODY. What happened?! I guess I can say this for all of Colonial Williamsburg -- what the hell are you guys doing?! How did you run what was a vibrant operation in October 2016 into the ground in less than a year. If you are considering a visit to your Colonial Williamsburg of yesterday, forget it. It's gone. If you want to learn about the Revolutionary War and the founding of our country, forget Williamsburg and go to Boston, where museums and monuments abound, with vibrancy and excitement, along with Lexington and Concord. I'm afraid Colonial Williamsburg has a long road ahead of it to return to its glory of years ago.

New Years Eve Gala... The food was delicious. The service was bizarre. We sat for a long time with nobody even noticing we were there. We had to say something the the manager. He was very gracious and got our drink order and opened our wine and put in an ice bucket. Nobody ever came to refill our wine glasses. This was a seven course dinner, $225 per person, missed one course completely. The servers seemed like they were so confused and didn't know who they were supposed to be waiting on. The band was great. Overall, we had a good time. However, don't think we will do it again.

What a lovely breakfast we had. We both opted for the breakfast buffet. It had many traditional items and some unique touches of twists and changes to french toast, etc. It is not cheap but if you want a fine dining experience, this is truly one of those experiences. We loved it.

Wife and I dine here at least once a year on any visit to Colonial Williamsburg, most recently on December 6, 2015. (First was our 20th wedding anniversary in1988.)There were a few rough years awhile back, however, a new chef was brought in and the menu is once again a real treat and includes a chef's tasting menu option. The food is excellent. Service is good and best described as old fashioned southern. Wait staff is very friendly but could be considered a bit slow if compared to a Fridays or Applebees. That said, we have never had long waits or lack of attention. Server is always at the table shortly after we are seated, specials reviewed, and cocktail order taken. Cocktails are delivered promptly. Dinner arrives in a timely fashion, followed by coffee and dessert. (Staff will always recommend the hazelnut ice cream cake- order it!) Staff definitely allows 2 hours for full dining which is appreciated as opposed to the usual 1 hour or less provided by modern restaurants. We will be back. Again and again.

Very nice Sat night event with the Jazz band but the food was very pedestrian grade. Disappointed in food temperature and lamb was dry. Expected way more.
