The location is convenient. Parking on the street meant you had to walk to the entrance, but it wasn't a problem. The interior was clean and tasteful but a bit noisy due to the open ceiling design. The barista was very gracious and took the time to make dark roast coffee for us, which is our preferred brew. The service was fast, and accommodation was comfortable. Nice outdoor seating area for clement weather visits.Wheelchair accessibility: Great ramp on side of building, decent accessibility to bathrooms, back room tables, and order counter. Might be tight to maneuver in the front of the shop and pick up aisle.

Absolutely my favorite place to sip a hot drink on a cold winter morn or swing by when taking a road trip! Hubby and I celebrating 30 years since our fist phone call and very first date this week with a 10 day road trip enjoying each other and the love we still have head over heels even more in love with each other today then we were 30 years ago even though after that week he only waited two weeks before asking my Momma for my hand in marriage, six months later after wedding more than half way through the planning and purchased… knock on the door.. he says “let’s go see the judge to get married!”

I came here with my brother who was visiting and saw an article about the historic building Starbucks is in. Beautiful building and excellent customer service. It's busy and is perfectly located in Colonial Williamsburg and William and Mary Campus. Wish there was better parking. Highly recommend to check out.

I can't give this place five stars ... because it didn't exist when I was living in Monroe over 20 years ago. That's a real miss. Inadequate service, if you will. Also the fact that nobody has reviewed this place yet confirms that there are no college students using Yelp. So be it. What can I say? Start with your impression of Starbucks. Ok great, you're 95% of the way there. So here's what's different: There are some really nice seating areas - sorta broken up into four parts. On your right as you walk in are a variety of comfy chairs (please tell me you're wondering if they have fluffy pillows--or if you're confused go google Monty Python Spanish Inquisition) filled often with college students trying to get work done or chatting. There's even a fireplace. On your left is a long table with bar stools on either side (are useful to sit in while you wait for your drink). Further into the bowels of the restaurant are two table areas - a few smaller tables and then one big one surrounded by framed art showing old William and Mary along with old Starbucks. Really well appointed all in all. Look up and you'll see high ceilings, wooden and metal beams and large round lights. Gives it a nice open feel. On Homecoming weekend it was quite a wait. I must have waited in line for about 10 minutes and then another 15 minutes to get our drinks. Still. Very frustrating this place didn't exist decades ago.
