I really wanted to like this place. The pupusas had a great flavor though they were too thin, lacking filling. We ordered the cheese curds and unfortunately the marinara sauce was not prepared so it came later and by that time the majority of the cheese curds were cold. Those that were eaten beforehand were quite tasty. The hamburger came out extremely well done and that's a shame because it did have a decent taste. Unfortunately the margarita was lacking flavor and you could barely taste any alcohol or the mix itself. With some work this place could do well but unfortunately it's falling a bit short right now. Hopefully next time around things will be improved.

I may regret sharing this well kept secret, but it's worth it because these are good people. We were one of the first people in the place. We had a great conversation with the owner who obviously loved his place and was passionate about food and fun. The meal started off with the most amazing nachos we have ever experienced. Followed by decent empanadas, and then chicken wings that were top notch. Okay, so what's the "secret" worth protecting? Happy hour everyday from 4:00 to 9:00. We had 3 beers each, 3 large plates of food, and it was so inexpensive I had to question the bill. The only way I could feel like I wasn't taking advantage of them was to tip 40% and it was still way lower than the typical dinner out. And now the fun part, each night they have something crazy going on. It was learn how to salsa dance night when we went. Please do yourself a favor and go enjoy what they have to offer. This is a rare gift most miss out on.

I visited tonight because a friend asked me to come support him and his show. I honestly didn’t even know this place existed. But now that I do I will definitely be back because the atmosphere was very nice and I have to try the food. We were even treated to free shots of Ciroc so the service seemed great! Great location, great atmosphere and great music. I will try the food on my next visit this weekend!!

First time here and was disappointed. Portions were very small for the price. We ordered the three way cheese chicken chili dip and the cup of dip was not even half filled and when asked if we could have a little more due to such a small portion and still half a plate of chips, we were told no,sorry, but we will be sure to bring it up to the owner about portion sizes being too small. We got an appetizer, cheese steak, and a hot ham and cheese and the bill was over $42 and we weren't even really full!

I love the Drag n Brunch show, that is awesome! The Hunk show…was the lamest thing I had seen! Dudes are good looking and all, but it’s really sad how disorganized the show is. The dances are not that good. And it is too long in between costume changes and such. That being said, service the night of Hunk show started out ok, bartender was attentive. The hunk show finally started and no more service. Had to go to the bar for drinks over and over, we ordered nachos that was delivered by the server with no napkins or silverware, and server walked past us twice, nothing. I also left a voicemail this past week at the establishment to get a call back and nothing. I have been in service industry for over 20 years, ya’ll aren’t going to make it like this.you need a manager who can actually train servers properly and teach what customer service actually is and how to do it! And the best thing you could do , is not bring the Hunks back, find a better quality show for that , cause those dudes aren’t it! And I also noticed they only respond to good reviews, can’t seem to chat with customers who had any issues there. And the music, is wayyy to loud.

I hate to write poor reviews, but since I rely on Yelp so much when I travel, if I used it, found a restaurant and wasn't honest or simply didn't post a review, that would mislead the next person. Give this place a pass. Poor service, even with only 2 other people in the whole place at 6:45pm on a Saturday. No wine list, but the bartender made a good margarita. Although, weirdly, charged an extra $1 to make it on the rocks. Seems like it would be less work... That made the drink more expensive than the sandwich: a traditional Cuban, which was passable and yuca fries which were just okay. Usually, a 4 star rating on Yelp makes me fairly sure I'm going to enjoy a good (possibly great) meal. That was not the case this time.

New Bar and Grill in Winchester, just slighty outside of downtown. 81 Bar and Grill is a venue that offers a stage with a huge dance floor and lots of Big TVs all around. On Fridays they typically have a live band, Thursday - karoke and or DJ. Need to check their event schedule to see whats going on. Besides the stage and dance floor the main area also has several small tables along the walls and in rows to the rear ( seems cafeteria like). They have a full bar area and that is nicely done, the other area is kind of plain , ordinary plain tables and chairs. It kind of reminds me of a Roadhouse type bar from back in the day which may be a hit or miss with some, because it lacks a resturant feel. They do have a wait staff and offer a nice menu with what looks to be a cuban or puerto rican flair. The night we came (Friday) had a decent live band and a small cover charge (7.50 each) to get in. We were met by either the manager or owner, very nice man, who promtly seated us. Great table right up front. The place was full, but no line. We ordered drinks, but they do not have a drink menu, and downside they dont have a price list. Our waitress told us bottle beers are 3 dollars and house well drinks 4. She was wrong is what she said after we received the bill- lol - 5 a domestic beer and 6 to 8 for a well drink. So this definately needs improvement- maybe a drink menu with prices as the waitress had no idea at all. (Just saying). We ordered a couple apps- SW Nacho small plate and Tequilla Glazed wings. The Nachos were super delicious and wings tasty and tender. Food prices are decent and on the menu which was a plus! Would definately like to try other menu items next time. Wait staff was great about making sure we had what we needed, and everyone was friendly and helpful. Great music that night with lots of people dancing. Good experience overall with the band. One thing they need to do is have a drink menu with prices, and train wait staff on prices or customers are going to be in for big surprise because the drinks seem a little pricey. None the less It was fun had by all of us.

Big screen TVs with sports, lively music, and a full bar with a huge variety of liquors. Really nice waitstaff. I went on a Wednesday when they don't have any performances and my friend and I were the only patrons there. We got the 81 burger which was satisfying and juicy for hungry me. The fries were fair and the fried plantains were tostones (flat round crunchy like a thick chip). The sauce that came with the plantains was amazing and I put it on my burger too. My whiskey sour was extra sour and heavy on the pour - perfect for me! They have karaoke, live DJs and bands, male strippers even, and drag Queen brunch. It sounds like a super fun place to take friends (but not on a Wednesday evening lol). I'd come back to try the yucca fries.
