I feel bad writing this review but here it is. I used to really enjoy this place. The staff was always friendly and the food was great. We don't eat out a ton but liked Awabi when we did. But over the last 2 years I have tried numerous times to eat here. Quite a few of those times had unexpected closures for who knows what with no notice or posting online. Other times id come here and although open their mismanagement resulted in multiple items on the menu not being available. The most ridiculous version of this was when I was told they had no sushi rice before 6pm on a Friday. Today I went in with my kids and tried to order the uni and chicken wings. Both unavailable. Not sure what else but my server said there were quite a few items unavailable. Come on guys. Winchester doesn't have a ton of options. Get it together please

It's always a pleasure coming to Awabi. Both of the owners are super friendly and knowledgeable. I am so glad they have added additional fish to their nigiri menu.Everytime we come here the nigiri is excellent??

If you are looking for quality sushi, than Awabi Is a place to go! Some places will serve big portion sizes of sushi, but this place did not. The portion size did not matter because the quality and taste of the sushi alone made up for it!

My family has been everywhere and enjoyed sushi in many different states and countries. This place is one of the best. Try their "Treasure Box". You can taste very fresh sashimi and specially assorted sushi.
