Its been five years since my last review, thought I would provide an update. Even though I don't get by as often as back then, the food remains delicious, the prices are comparable to other carry-out diners, and the owner/staff are great people!
Mama is always welcoming and cheerful, pops is always cooking with dedication and on between he geets everyone he can. In my opinion the atmosphere there makes the food even better.
I ordered a croaker plater. I had a taste for fried fish and decided to go to Sunnys. The fish was very .tasty except for the scales on the fish. The fish had more scales on it than it should. I know some of the seafood is frozen, but I couldn't enjoy that meal because of the scales.

I used to get the catfish platter when they first opened. It was fantastic! Hadn’t been in several years so today I got chicken wings. The frying oil must have been old and desperately in need of changing. Sadly I could finish the wings. They were burnt and dry in places and just not tasty. To be fair, I went in just before closing so maybe they had a very busy day, with no time to change the oil. I got a bad case of indigestion from the 2 of 6 wings, will toss the rest ? I’m so disappointed because this used to be my go to spot for catfish.Wheelchair accessibility: Handicap spot was available. Lot has one entrance/exit and there’s a huge pothole as you’re entering/leaving. It was just before closing so there were a few spaces open. Lot is relatively small for the number of businesses there.

Was in the mood for seafood. Sunny's was suggested . And they did not disappoint. The catfish was tasty. The collard greens phenomenal, potato salad was amazing . 10/10 . This place deserves more recognition. And I only ate half my meal before feeling super full and I eat a lot.Exploding with flavors .Finger licking good.

Mom and pop shop, but would not recommend.. fried shrimp still had poop in it when i bit i to it.. unacceptable.

Food was amazing, boneless catfish had the best crisp and flavored to it. Love the sauce they gave me too was really amazing. Not a bad place if you want either a cheap Lunch/Dinner option! 10/10 would come here again. Also love the variety of drinks and snack options.
Understand this is a seafood carryout joint so there's no seating area or don't expected anything fancy. The place is clean and the food is fresh. If you want some deliciously seasoned fried fish, then you came to the right place! We've been here before many years ago so this place has been around. I don't know how we forgot how great the fish was, but we won't forget again! They must put some msg magic in that seasoning lol cause OMG my flounder and my husband's catfish was fire! And that is why they get 5 stars from me hahaha. Definitely not for the coleslaw (don't get it unless you like bland and vinegary) they must have used up all the seasoning on the fish lol. Potato salad is okay and fries and onions rings were good (you can't really mess that up right)! Anyways next time I'll get the greens or green beans. Will be back for that fish for sure!!! Took the pics after we started shoving fish is our mouth...my bad!

The older woman who works there was very ugly to my son’s friend for waiting in the hall for me to finish using the restroom. We were going to eat there but we left because I felt she racial profiled him and was rude telling him we could not use the bathroom and to leave hallway. Disgusting behavior!!!! He’s the most amazing kid I know! FYI. They have dine-in so it’s required to allow use of the bathroom. I am sure she knew that. She just did it like him standing back there. Mr. Sonny seemed nice. I don’t blame him for her actions. It looks like he has good reviews.Let him know you saw this and maybe he will let her know that her behavior was unkind and shameful.
