More of an effort could be made for vegan options. "Taking the cheese out" does not made a dish vegan, especially if it's rissotto. A bowl of unflavored white rice is not rissotto. The tofu fries were good, but heavily seasoned and way too salty. Overall it was ok. The staff is quite nice and the service was good.

We had a delightful dinner here. The ambiance is lovely, our server was so attentive and kind, and the food was out of this world! We had the kale caesar salad, red eye steak, bolo pasta, and the flourless chocolate torte. Everything was delicious, so flavorful, and so well prepared. It’s wonderful that everything is so thoughtfully sourced too. Highly recommend!

So delicious! Google looks to have updated the directions as well finally. Everything at this restaurant is fresh made and locally sourced and it shows. The quality of food here is top notch and the prices are very reasonable for such good quality. The Bolognese here is so freaking delicious and brunch is great on Sunday. Make a reservation as it gets busy here and for good reason!

Had a very enjoyable and tasty meal recently. Not sure what any of the negative reviews are referring to? Our server was attentive, food came in a timely fashion and was one of the best meals we've had in Brattleboro. I also very much enjoyed the bartender's choice cocktail of the evening. Highly recommended!Parking: Lots of parking available in a nearby lot

Worse customer service I've ever experienced. Food was overcooked and waited in a nearly empty restaurant for a rude and frankly clueless wait staff. The "chef" as his staff called him offered to pay for our meal only after we waited 30 min for 2 sodas and water. Save your self the disappointment and go to Peter Havens across the street avoid this place at all cost.

Ate here with a friend tonight. I got an "ilegal smoke" cocktail which was delicious. Basically a mezcal margarita with a hint of rosemary and pineapple. For a starter we got the olives which are served with housemade focaccia. So fluffy and yummy. I got the steak which had a demi glace, creamed kale and potatoes. Omg!!! So good my mouth is already watering again thinking about it. It was a huge steak and I ate every bite. Too full for desert. It was not busy at all tonight. I loved the environment and aesthetic, plants and wood. Lots of windows I bet it's full of sunshine in the day time. Both the bartender and our server were sweet and attentive. Our server told us about brunch, we will definitely be back!

We had a reservation for 6pm, (arrived at 6:07pm after calling ahead) and received water at 6:14pm.We ordered drinks as the water came and they were delivered around 6:31pm. We were going to order our food for the evening as the server delivered them (sensing the significant delay was not going to improve), but she did not ask or give us a chance to.I cannot speak on my partner's canned beer, but the specialty cocktail I ordered had two abnormally *massive* ice cubes in it that took up the majority of the glass and clinked into my face everytime I went to take a sip. Would have been less uncomfortable/unpleasant had the beverage been tasty/well balanced. Based on that beverage I would not recommend. The real issue though...We were only offered an opportunity to order at 6:42pm.This is after 2 other tables had either ordered and/or been *served* their food - 1 of which had arrived after us.The dining room had a decent number of tables in it, but it was not overly crowded or busy. I don't know if this server was newer, easily overwhelmed by 6 tops, or just poorly trained/organized. They were not maximizing their steps at all and it felt as though we were inconveniencing them. I have been a server for 7yrs in various settings from bar/family restaurant to french gourmet and a country club with big events/regular dining service. I get we sometimes have bad days, or we're understaffed, or hit with a dinner rush, etc....but this wasn't that. There is no reason to pass a table *6* times and not grab an order on a piece of paper and enter it in at the same time as another table at the POS.*If* the server was indeed overwhelmed with the way things are run, then it is up to managment to prioritize competent and effective staffing.I found it particularly strange that there was a bartender with a practically empty bar and a manager/host at the front not assisting the one server who appeared to be in charge of taking guests' orders as well as running food and drinks - only supported occasionally by one of the kitchen staff popping out to random tables. When we asked for the check at 6:42pm, it was *promptly* delivered 2min later by our server. When it was returned for a signature by the host/manager, he only addressed my partner (paying/male/introvert who hates confrontation) "is everything alright?" who quickly replied "we're okay...we're just ready to go."This seemed satisfactory to the manager, but anyone with even a little service experience should know that this was definitely not "okay."While I do wish I had inserted myself into their interaction in the moment, I did not want to make it uncomfortable for the server or other guests (it's a bit echoey/not good for private conversations in the main dining space), and at that point I was well frustrated, hungry, and more concerned with where we were going to go without a dinner reservation at 7pm on a Thursday, as we didn't want to risk waiting another 30min for food to arrive and be further disappointed.I would not recommend going here unless you have a solid backup plan. Based on some of the other reviews and this experience we had here, just know if you go, you're probably rolling the dice.

This place looked so nice but we had really weird service from the pretentious bartender who made no effort to know anything beyond his hyped up cocktails. The prices were so expensive for such lackluster effort, but I can only speak to the vegetarian dishes we ordered.Vegetarian options: The Tofu Fries were just unseasoned, very large slabs of fried tofu with a soy glaze that seemed to come straight out of a bottle. The tomato soup was cold and indistinguishable from a can of crushed tomatoes with a few pieces of basil. Probably would have been better if it came with the croutons listed on the menu.

An adorable gem of a restaurant. Quiet, peaceful ambiance. One of the biggest highlights were the cocktails. The bartender took the time to come over and ask about our experience and we could tell they were really passionate about their craft. Lastly, our entrees were wonderful! Fresh, local and so so tasty!

I loved working with A Vermont Table for my wedding catering! Cory was great to work with – incredibly creative with the menu and he was flexible with last minute adjustments I needed. The food was amazing and all of my guests raved about it. We had a number of folks with dietary restrictions and allergies and A Vermont Table handled it well. Highly recommend!
