Kudos to the manager dealing with the out-of-control homeless person who is just being absolutely ridiculous. Excellent job! Great service. Great food.

Ordered two burritos and two drinks for me and my wife. My wife went to find a seat as I waited for our order. After some time, I noticed drinks that looked like ours on the pickup counter. I approached the woman at the counter (didn’t catch her name, but she had a mohawk-style haircut and gauged ears with large conic ear jewelry) and asked if these were indeed our drinks. She said yes, so I took them to bring to our table since I thought it would be hard to carry everything at once. As I took the drinks, I noticed the woman had an annoyed expression. I didn’t think anything of it at the time, although apparently she was bothered by my grabbing the drinks. How do I know this? Well, I went back to wait for our burritos and was waiting there for a long time. I was wondering what was taking so long and thought I’d see if the two burritos that had been sitting on the counter were actually mine. They were! This passive aggressive woman never called out my name! When I went to ask if these were my sandwiches, she said yes. I said that I didn’t hear my name and she said without looking at me and with a rude attitude, “You were walking to your table and didn’t hear me.” Our table was not that far from the pickup counter and you can hear names being called out from the far end of the place. Believe me when I say that she NEVER called my name. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? I grabbed my drinks and she took it personally? But wait, there’s more! As we were leaving, we happened to pass this woman on the way out. I happened to cough (covering my mouth) as she walked past. She then turned towards me and yelled out, “Disrespectful!”. WHAT? This person needs to find a job outside of the service industry or seek psychiatric help. Look at other reviews…there are MULTIPLE complaints of the staff being rude to the customers. Note to upper management: Why do you continue to let these people work for you? I will NEVER eat there again. To anyone reading this, I highly recommend The Porch, also in Brattleboro. Wonderful people working there and the food is soooo much better. Don’t believe me? Check them out for yourself!

Alway love stopping in bagel works. But yesterday purchased a 1/2 dozen bagels that are smallest bagels I've ever seen. They are more like Ritz crackers than bagels. It's a shonda.

This is prob 3.5 but can't do 1/2 stars. Nothing wrong at all just not notable. Met here for lunch and it was as expected from another location of The Works that I have been to. This time I got an egg ham cheese on blueberry bagel. Meal was fine - no issues. My friends are gluten free and they ordered off the menu with no problems and had sandwiches made with GF bread. They thought the staff did a good job managing food allergies. This location does not use plates for dine-in sandwiches etc. The other location I go to gives plates for dine-in. It was not an issue just something I noticed. We were all given our food wrapped up and we just unwrapped it and ate them over the paper wrap. *There is a parking lot out the back entrance. Make sure you pay for the parking at the kiosk and display your ticket. And do not be late! The parking officer was closely checking cars the entire time and I was shocked by how many people had tickets for being over time.

The Works is a cute coffee shop to stop by for a quick bite to eat. The coffee is okay, but they have a great selection of sandwiches, salads and bowls - including many vegetarian and vegan options. It's also a great place to get some work done and has a lot of tables that aren't usually too crowded.

Why would you give an EVERYTHING bagel as a substitute? It's the opposite of a single flavor. If someone orders a single flavor, giving them EVERYTHING is basically just spitting in their food since you have no idea if they can *eat* it.It's become very clear that the Works is using Doordash to offload their less popular flavors because customers can't just push it back across the counter and ask for what they ordered.I don't recommend placing an online or Doordash order. I recommend going there in person and picking up so you can avoid being their garbage dump.

The food was amazing, the employees were awesome and they even had a kids' nook that kept my three young boys entertained for at least an hr. Loved everything about this place.Kid-friendliness: Their little kids nook was just enough to keep the kids outta of our hair for about an hour.

Not really mainstream lunch place. No beef choice on the menu. No Coke or Pepsi pretty limited. Soup was tasteless. Tuna sandwich served on 2 pieces of bread that were different sizes.....

This is a "white no frill" place. The food was as expected. Not over the top but not any second assortment either. I had a smoked salmon cream cheese sandwich. It was great. It came with onions as well. As with everything with cream cheese, it was added thick enough to get all over the place. I had to get extra napkins so as not to get the cream cheese everywhere.Parking: The Main Street has parking meters all along the block. I have never seen a meter maid there but I wouldn't take the chance not to pay for the meter.
