We ordered from China Express on Shelburne Rd a few months ago and loved it. We ordered from China Express 2 last night- spend $85 and hated it. The rice wasn’t cooked thoroughly and was al dente. There was no flavor or seasoning to any of the dishes- (4 in total)- it was all bland. We were really disappointed, because we want to support community businesses. Sadly, we won’t be going back.Not to mention a car was parked right in front of the steps, blocking entry. Frustrating to say the least.Parking: Driver parked blocking entrance in spite of other spaces being available.

For Vermont standards this place is soooooo goood!!! Their general Tsos chicken actually is crunchy after delivery and has a thin type of breading. Their pork fried rice uses Chinese bbq pork and actually taste like authentically home style Chinese pork fried rice! Their fried wonton uses thin type of wonton skin and fried shrimp is actually shrimp! Everything was still crispy after delivery! Get the pupu platter for 2 and the general Tao dinner combo. And also dinner comb also had 2 cute broccoli florets! Perfectly cooked! If only people in this world sat down and ate at this place. We would have less violence. But to be very fair the chicken and protein are dry but in Vermont I personally have never had juicy chicken. So this is phenomenal by Vermont standards

Spent almost 70 bucks for dinner tonight from china express 2 and it was a HUGE disappointment!!! Let’s start with the PORK EGG ROLLS… I ordered four of them .. my kids only ate the “shell” of them because the filling was nothing like they’ve ever had! Definitely wasn’t pork egg rolls. The house special friend rice I ordered with no veggies except onions and it came with about 4 tiny shrimp ? almost zero pieces of pork and most of the rice was hard lots of grease. The shrimp with broccoli and garlic sauce was flavorLESS no hints of garlic at all like NONE! Also ordered boneless BBQ ribs that were dried out and very tuff! They looked really good but after one bite I had to spit it out the after taste was as if it was going bad and NOBODY wants to end up with food poisoning so that dish was a total lost! After all that money spent I could never recommend this Chinese restaurant and I’ll never return ever. Sucks when u think your getting a nice treat for your family and saving yourself time in the kitchen only to have to still whip something up at home because not one of us was satisfied! Not impressed at all. This place was once my go to spot way back in the day! However ownership changed years ago and tonight I was reminded why I STOPPED spending my hard earned money here. Fu-da on pearl street in Burlington is a much better option UNFORTUNATELY they’re closed on Wednesday!

Don’t let Burlington pretentiousness get in the way, this is what you’re looking for. Dumplings are great, lo mein noodles are legit (spaghetti in most other spots around here). If you’re hoping for the classics you want, put in the order. This or Mandarin in Winooski. Enjoy.

I just moved to town and have nothing to eat in my new home. This store was listed as open on Uber eats. I placed an order and waited 1.5 hours. Called the restaurant several times. They did not answer. Horrible service. Unprofessional. If you are open, you can’t show as available on Uber eats. I am furious and starving and now even gas stations are closed and I will not eat at all today. Thanks a lot. Brand new to town and will never ever give this place my business. Absolutely awful.

We ordered takeout from this place and they have their own delivery service which ensured prompt service and the food was warm!Sesame Tofu with white rice and spring roll:Tofu could be a little crispier, and more sauce. Everything else is absolutely perfect.4.7/5General Tao with chicken fried rice and egg roll:Perfect chicken texture and sauce, rice could use a little more flavour.4.5/5Would order again!Vegetarian options: Tofu is not chewy but very not crispy either

If I could give them no stars for this review I would of I waited 1 hr for food then when it arrived the food was sour I mean you could smell it was spoiled didn’t even have to taste it but I did cause I thought I was bugging nope straight sour tasting house fried rice I will never eat there again first an last time I order there food on the up side they did offer a full refund an to come get they nasty food back

The only thing pleasant abt my food was the delivery driver. I've eaten here before and it was always good. Today the boneless (and I used it for two options) you couldn't eatIt looked nice in tray but was all grizzled and fatty and boney when you chewed into it there was zero meat just bits of scraps.The parts that were meat, the meat flavor tasted off, so I just threw my whole combo meal away.Never again
